I need a new bumper for my 355. A stock one is around $3k.

Anyone know where to get a Challenge carbon front bumper? And, can the carbon ones fit the stock marker lights and hardware? And, is the fit and finish comparable to the stock fiberglass bumpers?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Here is one option for a reproduction in fiberglass. http://www.ferrariservice.com/

Check some more body shops though, your stock bumper would have to be pretty wasted not be able to be repaired if damaged.

We have been contemplating starting production on these. If you're seriously interested that will help sway our decision.

Unfortunately, it is pretty wasted - got that way by a dumba$$ that blew a red light

Thanks for the link, but I already did try a couple reproductions that were so poor, I needed to send them back for a refund.

I have already had some bad experience with poor reproduction 355 bumpers, but I would be seriously interested if the quality was great and the price was within reason. Btw, your products look very nice.

I won't quote you an immediate turnaround time, but I think you'll find a properly made street (not slapped together race) carbon fiber bumper indistinguishable (once painted) from the original. Of course it will be lighter, but strength/durability and appearance will be equivalent to the original. The key is in the details - materials, layup schedule, mold, curing and assembly. From what I've heard about most of the fiberglass reproductions out there, they're pretty bad, as you said.

Someone definately has (had) a mould for this. Back in the day there was at least one F355 Challenge running carbon bumper covers. Very high quality. I'd suggent contacting dealers heavily involved in Challenge in the '90's.

    Best,
    Rob
