Michael is the greatest racer ever and we are all lucky to have seen him racing!

It's a shame but at least he showed dignity and leadership with the way he treated his team when he got back to the garage. What a contrast to Alonso, who said his team dosn't want him to win so he doesn't take the #1 to McLaren. Or that they only want the Constructors Trophy. Or that Fisi is such an evil team mate for passing him when he was 4 seconds quicker and had Michael up his backside. If Alonso's motor blows in Brazil, I'm sure he'll blame global warming or N Korea's nuclear test...

 

well....things happen for a reason...don't they? lets just all keep our fingers crossed and see what happens in Brazil.

 

He floated/dropped a couple of valves just before the entrance to the corner, and as soon as he got to the apex of the corner and hammered on it - BOOM.

 

If Alonso's motor blows in F1 he will claim F1 is fixed... he already claims F1 is fixed! The guy is an idiot!

 

MS needed an absolutely perfect 2nd half of the season to even have a slim chance (and, even with the blow-up, he's had a great 2nd half).

The real "problem" IMO was not doing better during the 1st half -- i.e., being in a position where a single (long overdue) blow-up would make such a huge difference.

You guys are spoiled -- losing 2 straight after 5 straight WDC wins (and really being the right at the top competively even though they lost) isn't the end of the world. If you were F fans in the 80's and early 90's, I guess you would've killed yourselves

I wouldn't go so far as to call Alonso an idiot. He's a very talented driver and has the potential to be one of the greats. He just needs to mature a bit and show some respect to the hundreds of people who also work as hard, and often much harder, than the drivers do. Michael seems to understand that as he is often praising his team and rarely blowing his own horn. If Alonso doesn't learn that lesson, he may just fade away like Villenueve and Montoya did.

 

For Alonso to be considered an idiot he has to have an IQ less than 20. Now a Moron has an IQ of between 50-69... So that makes him a Functional Moron.
