What's up guys, well i currently have a 996TT stg 3 (500+rwhp and rwtq) that most of you guys have probably seen. I mean i love it, took alot of modding and dialing in but i do, well i got a local buyer for a great offer and im going to do it. My question is now, what would you guys go for next?

997TT, i mean the steering feel is supposedly 100x better feeling, not numb like the 996TT, feels sort of like a 997S i have heard. Its FAST out of the box, just overall an amazing car and engineerng wise and the looks have really grown on me, suspension with sport's chrono really stiffens up too to for a real hard ride!

Gallardo, drop dead sexy, amazing sound with straight pipes, fast enough for most people (for me ehh, that's a stretch) but im starting tot hink speed isnt everything and that the other things the Gallardo/Ferrari's have to offer make up for the speed thrill and give it to you in other area's. Cost and maintenance is pretty low, you can drive it almost as much as the 997TT in terms of reliability (resale is another story) , feels a bit heavy but so planted and sure-footed! Audi like interior though SUCKS :/

Ferrari 360-355, both are beautiful and sound ridiculous with Exhaust's, nimble feeling, good looking and traditional interior's, just an overall sexy package but obviously not fast at all, well compared to these other cars and what im use to. Also maintenance i would think is killer and its not a car iw ill be able to take out alot, maybe im wrong?

Last but not least, 996GT2, i will forever be in love with this car. But its everything my car is and what im use to, very rare, only 299 brought to the US, and RAW!

Thanks guy's, all opinions are appreciated.

    Martin

PS: Here's a pic of my car now!

I thought your 996 was one of the nicest looking Porsches at the Concours last week. Everything was tastefully done and it looks so much more like a supercar than just the average Porsche that you see almost every day.

With that said, you could probably think up a great looking 360, maybe even with a couple of turbos in it? :D Probably talking some cash there but personally I like the looks of a 360 over the Gallardo...looks like a much more refined car. But if it's the performance you'd rather have, then I'd say go for a G.

I do like how Porsche went back to the rounded headlights though like the older models on the 997 though...keeps my 993 from looking (too) dated. :)

Get a Viper and twin turbo it and be done with it. You will never complain about power then. LOL! Is it a done deal with the sale?

I say you get a 2007 Mitsubishi Evolution Lancer MR and invest the rest of your cash into bank-foreclosed real estate in up & coming neighborhoods such as Williamsburgh, BK and L.I.C., Queens.

The MR beats all you have named at all road courses the world throughout, including the famed Nurburgring in Germany.

as much as i would like to say 360cs first...i cant
-seems like you want this car for daily(?)

    gallardo(orange w/ gunmetal rims)>360cs>gt2>997tt

-gallardo is better in daily driving aspect, gotta love those germans ;)
-360cs is my personal love affair, but i wouldnt expect it to be a good nyc daily
-although you loved and desire this car, you already had a 500hp porsche
-when all else fails a stock twin-turbo will be the next best option.

Cars are about more than power.

Someone a few people here know just sold his 997TT for a 360 Modena. The 360 will be much slower. But he's going to have a much bigger smile on his face driving it.

I know that in your position I would forget the Porsches and buy a Ferrari. You will never look back. But that's me.

Get what stirs your blood the most. And nobody can tell you that but you.

Hey Martin, I've seen you drive, stop fooling yourself look over speed LOL.

Get a ZO6, a lot of TT guys are now making the switch. Mods are a fraction of the Porsche mod costs.

ZO6 460rwhp out of the box, add cam, headers, air intake and a tune (one package $5,500) and now youre at 550 to the wheels.

The evo is a POS. I destroyed one around a track on tuesday. Not to start an argument or anything but thats my opinion.

Get the 355, the best car in the world...EVER!

    For a DD I'd say the 997 Turbo, otherwise I don't know it'd be a tough choice, I've always loved the 360

not very stock at all, chip, exhaust, lots of CF to reduce weight, etc. Its just hard for such a small engine to keep up at high speeds. I also passed a lotus, which was the highlight of my day. Driving is 90% driver, 10% car:)

POS huh? Maybe it's the driver. 'Not to start an argument or anything but thats my opinion.'

LOL. Jeremy Clarkson and the rest of the Top Gear crew must all be wrong.

Funny how the Evo was only bested by the Pagani Zonda on their test track. The Zonda which was only bested by the Ducati 999r and the bike was only bested by the Mosler Trenne MT900.

Let's see, for 15k less than the price of the Gemballa kit for a 996, you can drive away with Recaro seats, Brembo brakes, Advan tires, BBS rims, HID's, and a FMIC - all STOCK on the EVO.

That is the Evo MR FQ400 which is not sold here :( ...but we have a MR which is not far from the fq400 :) ..and a tune, exhaust, plus a few other goodies make it extremely fast on a track. Sure it's not as elegant as an exotic--but at a track it's about the fastest time.

oohh and does the 360cs come in a standard clutch + stick transmission or is it F1 only?

The only difference btwn the European FQ400 and the U.S. release is 30hp. Which comes stock as an upgrade on the 07 EVO.

It was def not the driver. The driver is very experienced and has alot of track training.

Just because Jeremy Clarkson and top gear say the evo is good doesnt mean it is. The thing is litterally a go-kart. Top Gear's track favors light go-kart type cars. It all depends on the track.

I just dont see how you can suggest a evo when Martin was talking about a completely different class of car. The evo is like every other RR, its just fast. That car is so ugly, annoying loud, handling is meh unless you do work to it and the interior is a POS. IF, and a big IF, Martin were to go from a beautiful Turbo to a evo style car, I would tell him to get the STI. Maybe Martin should pick up the new Civic and put a coffee can on the back.

Ive driven an EVO, i know alot of people who have driven EVOs and everyone says the car is just a fancy gokart. Nothing more. Like many have said above, sometimes its about more than just speed.
