Doesn't sound like it was his 308 that was vandalized (thank god), but sucks nonetheless of course...

man, and i thought ny was on the "up and up"

i walked out to my t-reg one time and saw a pretty big scratch/impact mark from what i am guessing may have been a biker that got too close to the mirror

    sorry to hear.

and i agree, it is a bit weird that they were flying so low in that neighborhood.

    plane malfunction i'd assume.

I live in jersey not too far from ny at all...but i hate drivin my cars to the city cuz its just tooo crazy out there..I tell ya them taxi's dont give an F and will hit you..then u have the potholes sometimes u cant even go around because of the others cars bein too close..NY is fun but not that fun as out of towners think..and ny has been the most targeted spot for incidents..now everything that happens, people relate it to a terrorism attack...but RIP to cory, sad to hear this..now im getting scared of planes..ehh..and i go to Miami every year

Oh believe me, my condolences go out to his family/friends/fans, it was indeed a tragic event. It bothers me that he actually flew that plane into Manhatten. The news says it was a 'navigational error', and then the safety parachute must have failed. I don't understand how he couldn't have been able to steer away from the island in time. Call me indecent but thats just sounds ridicilous to me. I do understand that my comment may have been overboard though and I apologize for that.

From what I hear, a possibility is that they were entering an area where permission from Laguardia is needed to proceed any further. Not to do so can result in getting a suspended license, and to do so is a PITA. So, they tried to turn around and ran into trouble.

In any case, though tragic, it is a rare event. How many planes have you heard about crashing into buildings?
