Yea ur right, Top Gear hasn't staked their reputation on their FACTS and it isn't the highest grossing tv show shown on the BBC, because the Top Gear crew are a bunch of liars and it is a comedy they have lasted this long on the network. How funny do you sound?

"Top gear favors light gokart type cars"?? LOLOL... Because that's just what the Mosler Trenne MT900 identifies as, right?

BUT AGAIN - 'Not to start an argument or anything but thats my opinion.'

Fancy gokarts don't win WRC rallies year after year after year. The car is purpose built. It isn't a status symbol, best suited for picking up Merin wool scarves at Helmut Lang or taking your lady out to dinner at Lutece.

Furthermore, I can suggest a EVO to him because I know him personally (way before he even had a M3) - and I am trying to guide him in a positive manner. -Read my first post on page 1-.

Thanks man, yea i mean it will suck seeing my car go. Ive done ALOT to it, finally to a point where it makes me smile everytime driving it, especially from the g forces under acceleration and the way i beat bikes, its INSANE haha!

LOL, all you Viper guys try and pull me in, maybe one day Keith haha, dammit btw, i feel out of the loop with you guys! I still cant post :(

Matt i love the Evo, like seriously do. Thing is, i have a car that can run laps around most 500awhp evo's at the track, its so dialed in but FAR superior in every category, although the all around driving has got me beat, i cannot drive it in the winter nor would i want to!

BTW Matt, i would love to do real estate and have been looking, i really should but i cannot find anything worth while, especially since im pretty busy and cannot take the headache of maintenance, renting out and so on. I was thinking about a condo, yo let's do dinner and chat soon! Give me a call.

Haha 2 GT2 votes, Lu i knew your answer haha. Hmm!

Yea i mean, Gallardo i see it as a drivers car like the 997TT, except different more exotic looks and sound, that's why those 2 cars are at the top of my list!

You are right. And that would be Kevin, funny because i was in his car on Sunday, and he was just saying how much he LOVED the car and that we could trade for a day lol. Then i find out 2 days later he TRADES IT IN!!! LOL

Ed lol, i actually went to look at the Z06, AMAZING car for the money and a true drivers car, scream's my name. Im just partial to European cars, but i truely do love the Z06, that's an AMAZING deal for the TT Z06, wow!

Hey Martin, definitely test drive the Gallardo first. It's a sexy car for sure but I heard that the M5 is faster and that comes from someone that owns both. The M5 tranny is much better. If you go Z06, wait for the 600+HP s/c version that's coming out soon. Or... get the new GT2 or Novitec Rosso F430 :)

M5 isnt faster then a Gallardo, from my own experience, people who own also and from videos (not the bs on m5board)

Z06 Bluedevil prob wont be coming out because of liability issues, there's a thread i read on here (ferrari chat) about the 31% total rate on teh new Z06's, so they might push it back or not come out with it!

New GT2 isnt even a def. it is coming to the US LOL, and F430 is way out of my price range :/

    Back to square one HAH!

I would easily take a gallardo over the the M5, if you didnt need the extra seats. The G is also good in the winter thanks to Audi;)

TMINUS, to each his own, no offense taken but I think its better we just leave it where it stands.

That sucks, I thought for sure the new GT2 was coming back. Either way though I'd go Porsche. Lambo's and Ferrari's are hot and sexy but a nicely done Porsche means business!

The sound of the 355 is unexplainable, just breathtaking. I would definately like to pick one of those up sometime in my life, they also look dead sexy. If you decide to stay with Porsche I'd say GT2 over 997. If you choose to go Ferrari, definately consider the 360CS, I'm not sure how difficult they are to maintain but talking to one of the many 360 owners on this site will help you out. If you decide to go jap, I'd take the newer STi over the Evo. I've been in both and the STi seems to handle better, making the sharpest of turns without even chirping the tires always puts a smile on ones face, many people don't approve of the new design though. As for the Gallardo.. they don't have as much as an awe factor as the other cars IMO. Jeremy Clarkson said it best, when driving the Gallardo you're very relaxed and when driving a Ferrari you have a much more serious expression. Hope this somewhat helped.

The thing about owning an EVO is everyone will think you're a bullheaded teenage prat who's daddy bought it for them.

At least you don't have one, so you're just a prat. Here's a clue about EVO's here on Ferrarichat: people don't care what they can beat. They like exotic cars, period.

If he is going to use Top Gear as the Holy Bible of Motoring, then I will use the stereotypes and writing style of Jeremy Clarkson, with fewer references to being sodomized at boarding school. I just clicked in two different threads and he goes on and on about EVO's and can't see people don't care.

Already did, i kind of loved the drive, raw power and feel, not a big fan of the interior but again, that's not what it was built for!

Yea 355 is ridiculous, and mostly every Ferrari is! I would like to stay newer, i mean 355 is sick and i coudl def. get one, but i want to drive my next car alot! Im thinking Gallardo or 997TT, mostly everyone says 997TT, crazy considering i thought LAMBO would be first thing on peoples minds!

Honestly, there can be a million stereotypes towards people in high end car's, jap cars , lambo's, ferrari's, porsches you name it, but that is not the point and its quite ignorant to generalize cars through their "owners"!

I drove a friends Evo 9 and LOVED it, great car. I could care less what people think of me while driving it, that's not why the car was built!

LOL, you mean my smile isnt good enough? :( haha

Get a one or two year old Gallardo that has already lost the majority of its immediate depreciation, and mod the hell out of it if you like.

So, pick up the car for around 130+, live with it for a while and if its still not fast enough, drop some more $$ in mods. Yeah, the EVO is quick and handles well, but its not exotic. The 997TT is NUTS, but it isn't that exotic in this neck of the woods either. Ferraris are great and I love them, but 360s are very common, 355s are slower and have too many issues and 550s are somewhat understated - that leaves Lambo, and the Murcie, although awesome, is NOT a daily driver or even close = Gallardo.

And at the end of the day, you can always get rid of a Gallardo for what you paid for it (less any mods you put on) untill they update the model considerably.

    My 2 cents...

I would choose a 997TT over a Gallardo. I love Lamborghini's but I wouldn't want to take it too many places and I would probably be a little reserved about driving the hell out of it. But a Porsche... watch out! :) That White TechArt 997TT that was posted on E46 is just nuts!!! And I love the rear bumper and center exhaust on the 997 GT3.
