The final scene of the last episode of Miami Vice:

Sonny to Rico: "Can I offer you a ride to the airport...in my stolen car."

And off he went in the Testarossa, that he was going to keep, even after having left the force. ;)

Gone in 60 seconds was not done in CGI, I know that most of the driven scenes were tho.

    1. The French Connection. Outta control stunts including the famous unintended person-with-shopping-cart-walking-into-60mph-stunt scene.

    2. The Blues Brothers. 120 mph on Lower Wacker Drive.

Well maybe not but there was no way that GT500 was running after that huge jump

My point is a real life chase scene is much more impressive to me then something that happens with five stunt cars and assorted cut-a-ways.

but hey - whatever floats your boat...

Fair enough after the jump that would not have been running, however the chase through downtown and in the drainage ditch wasn't bad.

I hanvn't heard of a lot of these. What was the one about the Daytona at an estimated 170mph? That sounds interesting...
I still havnt got to see Miami Vice, and now I'm mad that I didn't hear that 4.3L V-8 screaming in a theater. Whatever...
Yes Goldeneye was a great scene, but Bond was on the shorter straw this time. No Aston Martin, not to mention a DB5, holds a candle against a bright red 355 GTS.
Man I wish I had soundclips of a lot of these things I'm reading. It appears that Ferrari's were a lot more popular back in the day for TV than they are now.

The opening scene to the movie Speed Zone where it starts off showing the nice rearend of the Countach while running from police.

The second is again Cannonball part at the begining with the black Countach running away from police. But my favorite part is when he dusted the cop car from a roll.

Thats the main reason why I bought both movies of course i love the Countach. Sorry its not a Ferrari but there's plentfull Ferraris in movies and finding a Lamborghini in flims is really rare let alone driving at there best.

Does anyone remember the Ferrari belonging to Clifton Webb in 'Boy on a Dolphin' from 1957? No car chases, but a completely unexpected appearance by a beautiful Ferrari 250GT Boano.

The Ferrari scene (T Cab I think) in "Scent of a Woman" with Al Pacino was fun, as he was driving blind.

The Swiss Conspiracy (1977) available from Netflix. David Jannsen drives what I believe is the 1969 Paris Auto Salon PF show car, it has the targa
rollhoop. Though the Paris car obviously had the plexiglass front end the car
Jannsen drives has pop-up headlamps, note the headlamp door fit is very poor. I read somewhere that the Paris car had been retrofitted with pop-ups early on in it's life...

Also note that is some shots the LH vent latch is attached, and on others it has fallen off! Senta Berger looks rather tasty....

There is an interesting website that is devoted to cars in movies:

The Goldeneye scene was just awesome...amazing cars, hot girl, and 007. Not to mention, it looks great when she spins out of control.
