Wondered what was going on when I saw his roadster being advertised for sale. All that press hoohah was nuts.
here's the case...can't find the outcome yet... http://www.theage.com.au/news/national/newman-sports-a-rather-big-grudge/2006/05/11/1146940681923.html
I remember the original case; but not the outcome. If he won, I am stunned. Surely it is up to the individual to do some research rather than just relying on the salesman's spiel.
not to sound like a turd agreeing with PP, but i do have to agree with him. I feel dealers need to be held responsible for what they tell customers. I dont know if $1m was a particularly rational claim, however i feel if the dealer did say "there will not be an upgraded model" and 1 month later there is, they should wear something for missleading you. Just like if you buy a car and are told it hasnt had an accident, if you find it has (and its relatively obvious) the dealer should be responsible to some degree. but i dont wanna start any arguments.

its the best way to be IMO, just go about your own business and dont worry about all the $#!t that people seem to think is important
good points regarding 4 post being more convenient from a drive on/off perspective would have loved one, but room in dads factory was a little tight...and it was bought predominantly for working on the landcruiser. car's only used every few months so he raises it up just a bit to stop the suspension sagging definately a PITA lining up the arms each time...and the arms barely fit under my rex as it is...heaven help me if i ever lower it...will need to drive up onto blocks first!
Sound like my brothers old Statesman It was that low that he wore a flat spot on the diff centre Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yeah but upto this point, there still is no replacement Roadster. I have heard rumours there will be a LP640 Roadster eventually but its way past 18mth point and it prob wouldnt hit Oz till sometime next year some 2yrs later... I dont think a Oz dealer would know about Lambo's HQ plans 24mths ahead? (im assuming they were talking about a new roadster model not a new murcielago model). The garage I got at the moment is soo low I wouldnt be able to get a hoist, next place tho, def look for a high roof garage to get a hoist
yes but dealers always just tell you what you want to hear, rather than either the truth or saying "i dont know" and as for the hoist, where i want to put it is not a particularly high roof (about 2.4m, but i intend to put a new cieling in the garage which will be pitched inside so that it will maximise the height, and that way if i put the car in the centre of the hoist i should be able to get it almost full height
my ceiling is 3.2M high and at full extension the BMW just misses the roof I'm looking for a new house now with a high ceiling in the garage but none to be seen
Plenty of houses here in Mount Isa like that John, Come on up Don't mind the 42 degrees heat, it's only for 10 months of the year
