I agree that the F430 would look better lowered. But you should see how baly scraped my front end is already.

As for Infineon .... never been there .... in a car. But I can assure you that my car scrapes/grinds badly in the braking zone for T10 @PIR (PDX).

So badly that i've worn thru the front skid shield in two places and broke the mounts at those same two places. I'm sure a new skid shield won't be cheap.

The only cure at this point is to either raise the ride height (mine's standard, so they say); or brake sooner, for a longer period of time. The latter makes for slightly lower lap times .... but?

Stiffer replacement springs have been suggested. I think not.

    Regards,

    Richard.

My scraping has not been nearly that bad. I get a slight "tick" under braking at turn 11, but nothing bad, and street driving is very similar to my unmodified 360, just show a little care in driveways, etc.

My toes are nicely "healed", thank you! :)

Seriously Mario, since you've had both F1 and 6-spd, what's your preference?

    Gary -

Here is the only way I can explain it best.

    Owner/Driver #1:
Primary driving is in town driving for stops like starbucks, nice restaurant for luch or dinner, ferrari events in Monterey, drive to Napa through the backroads 6x's per year and otherwise in the garage for admiring afterwards.

Best fit to a ...6 speed.

    Owner/Driver #2:
All characheteristics of driver/owner # 1 but includes more back road driving on a 2-3 times per month basis, driver at a 8/10 level, does 3-4 Ferrari track days per year, and admires the car in the garage afterwards.

    Best fit to an....F-1

    ME:
I am now more driver #2. I love the 6-speed and just in the last 2 years did I become driver #2. I was Driver # 1 for the 4 years prior in the F-355... and I would only want a 6-Speed in the instance. However, I now find myself enjoying the car on open roads and track events where I almost always say "gosh I wish this was an F-1."

With this said my car is not for sale....however, I will likely be back in an F-1.

Mario wants an F1 so he can drink his Starbucks on his trophy run.

I wasn't there on Columbus day because I wasn't invited, as a good friend of mine always says "thank's for the invite".

Nothing like some ball bustin in the morning, eh Sal?

Gary now that kevin saw your posts of him working on your car , he is even more pissed at the company we ordered that spring compressor from ( back ordered ) because without that piece of equipment doing the job right is a *****! when you see a stock 430 at D.O.T ride height next to a 430 at euro height, the difference is really apparent.

Anyone knows what is the quantitative difference in ground clearance between the Euro spec F430 vs the Challenge Stradale? I am taking reference from the flat underpanel or side skirt behind the front wheel.
