    Recheck your schedules --

At the beginning of the month, the schedule was
    Practice (SDD) 12:00n EDT/11:00a cdt
    Qualifying (SDD) 3:30p EDT/2:30p cdt
    Race (Live) 11:30a EDT/10:30a cdt

As of today, the schedule reads:
    Practice (SDD) 2:00p EDT/1:00p cdt
    Qualifying (SDD) 3:30p EDT/2:30p cdt
    Race (Live) 12:30p EDT/11:30a cdt

And no, daylight savings ends on the 29th, a week later.

Kind of nice to have a race that is mid-day instead of having to wake up at 3-4AM.

    grrrrr...
it says on speeds site currently that qualifying is at 330 am saturday EST - here in Vegas thats ones 1230 which isn't too bad-

but according to cox info practice is at that time and qualifying isnt til tomorrow morning

why speed why - we have tivos - or dvr's or vcr's - you need to start believing in the viewer

The current schedule on speed had the practice replay at 3:00 am EDT saturday, the qualifying tape delayed to 3:30 Pm saturday, with a replay at 3:00am sunday, and the race coverage live starting at 12:30 pm sunday (noon-thirty) (pre-race show a half hour before the race).

Sao Paulo is zone GMT-3, but remember that Brazil is southern hemisphere, so they're not on daylight savings time now, while (most of) the US is. (DST begins Nov 4th there.)

The race begins 2:00pm local time, which would be 1:00pm EDT (GMT-4).

Speed couldn't very well run qualifying at 3:00am EDT saturday, because it doesn't happen until 2:00pm local time -- which is 1:00pm EDT saturday afternoon. Speed is running qualifying tape delayed to 3:30pm instead of live, but it's only delayed two and a half hours.
