again with 80's Miami Vice: 2nd season: there is a GREAT chase scene between Crockett in the Daytona and some "diplomatic-immunity" bad guy in a white Countach. Quite long by TV standards and some great speed shots... It ends with Crockett catching him on the causway, pulling him out of the car and roughly pushing him up against the car and the baddie retorts: "this is $100,000 automobile..." to which Crockett replies by winding up and kicking the back fender... great scene... I would have to agree, he was workin the hell out of that A8. Also like the Chase seen in Miami Vice when the Testarossa was getting chased by a vette and some other muscle car. One flips over and then the testarossa plays chicken with the other
I've always liked James Bond (Roger Moore) stealing an Alfa Romeo GTV-6 in Germany and driving it like crazy in the movie Octo*****.
here's one....the chase scene in a movie called CORVETTE SUMMER' with mark hamilton. between the custome corvette and the black camaro
My favourite scene was the episode of Toby Dammit in the movie Tre passi nel delirio ( different titles in different nations: Histoires Extraordinaires - Tales of Mystery - Spirit of the Death) The Ferrari was specially made for the movie by Fantuzzi. Especially how Bond managed to enter the narrow alley on the right wheels, flip over and exit on the left wheels: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Grand Prix all the way. I was watching that alone - in the cars - surround sound - my heart was beating twice as fast. Le Mans too, you put yourself infront of the set for those two movies and your hooked! Unlike most movies (one, maybe two chases) these two are ALL chases. The opening scene is Le Mans is my favorite scene in cinema. Turn up the volume! FORZA FERRARI! -Jon
Not a car chase scene but the Daytona coupe Tom Cruise is driving in NYC, deserted streets, in that movie with Penelope Cruz, I can't remember the name because otherwise it wasn't good. I got chills when he pulled out of the garage. If I had the means, I'd get a Daytona coupe over a conv. anyday, the conversions are a cryin' shame. Jeff
You should see the damage, Bronze! Metal damage... ... brain damage? You listening, Bronze? I am the Nightrider! I'm a fuel-injected suicide machine. Kick it in the guts, Barry. She's the last of the V8s. You can shut the gate on this one, Maxie. It's the duck's guts. Yeah, she's the last of the V8 s. Sucks nitro. Phase 4 heads. - Twin overhead cam. - Tell him about the blower. - 800 horsepower. - The blower, man. She's meanness put to music and the ***** is born to run. - He's in a coma, man! http://www.madmaxmovies.com/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLlR27KbbYc&mode=related&search= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08bovbrsYpA&mode=related&search= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5W0YQCcI7E&mode=related&search= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yST7yn6rk1E&mode=related&search=
The Rock - the yellow 355 chase....until it hits the parking meters and the trolley Ronin - had several scenes that were well shot Goldeneye - DB6 and 355GTB
I think you are talking about the movie Vanilla Sky??? If so the car was neither a Daytona nor even a real Ferrari...it was a pretty poorly done 250 GTO replica.
Dear Ferraristi, First, the Bolivian Ex-General's (now banker ) son pulls down the door of the white CT, drives off soon to be followed by Crocket & Tubbs in the black Daytona. The best scene.... the CT goes under the toll gate while the Daytona knocks it off. ....then as per quote.....then Crocket: " What's that smell" ? Bolivian: "What do you know, dis calone ist aa undred dallares ane oz" ( this leads C & T to be able to prove Bolivian raped hatian maid) Ok... I think I remember too much Miami Vice ! Hey! That's why I drive the car ! Shamile Oh Oh...another cool scene. Setting is Miami grand prix. At the end of the race, the bad-guy-racedriver sees it's game over pull the GTP (lite) car onto the streets to be chased by C & T. At the end, blocked on all sides, pulls full throttle into a wall. Super cool part..... car hits wall ( view from windshield) windshield cracks and breaks...film freezes....only sound of broken glass can be heard. Man, that still gives me goose bumps! Freeze.....Miami Vice !
Your right Meister, it's been awhile. I confess, I'm not as knowledgeable on the classics(although that apparently was less than classic if what you say is true!). Anyway, I still think the Daytona and the 250 GT look better in Berlinetta form. Jeff
Favorite car scenes would be the Shelby in gone in 60 seconds and the Lamborghini in Transporter 2. Another chase scene I still think is great is the opening scene in Beverely Hills Cop with the Tractor Trailer with Axel swinging on the chains in the trailer.
My favourite scene is the ferrari F1 at monza circuit in the grand prix film, too i love the scene in the ford gt inathe a man and a woman film or 24 h le mans fils at the start.
