Sold my pride and joy almost two months ago through an Indy in outer London but now still chasing him to get the proceeds back. Many phone calls and emails, but no reply.

Any similar experience? If so, how best to deal with it? I'm not in the country most of the time so difficult to just go and sit in his office.

    Cheers.

Based on your other thread it could be someone else located near Heathrow

If so he tends not to do email or reply to messages but I believe direct phone contact and/or physical presence do work - after that its either trading standards or the law as evidenced by the other similar threads here referring to someone else

Its better if you name the dealer then people can advise you how to proceed.
If it is a reputable dealer then by naming and shaming him you will probably get your money faster.

The best way to get your money is to forget the legal way and do what you can to get what you can otherwise you will be in a big queue and might get a penny in the pound for what you are owed

    Not them.

I was aware of the bad press, so I opted for the other "reputable" one nearby.

I've tried calling many times, but difficult to get him to answer the phone - there's always someone else on the other line or busy elsewhere.

Finally he returned my call yesterday, after 2 months, saying that the money should be in my bank today (no trace of it yet) or tomorrow (fingers crossed).

We'll see how this plays out...

I'll give him a few more days (see earlier thread re call back) then I might have to do that...

Unbelievable service. Money like this should never take this long to be returned to the previous owner.
