who knows, what happened with 0848 after 1967. i have only pics from 1966 to 1967. i know, the car was in bardinons collection and was traded to giorgio perfetti in exchange with a 250 GTO.
is the car still with perfetti - was it restored after his racing-career and why is the car never displayed at events ?

lots of questions. any pics of 0848 from the last years ?

    thank you

    Hi Michael
Giorgio Perfetti was involved in a series of books based on his collection. Cavalleria #11 is titled "Ferrari P3/412P" and features the history of all the P3s/P4s etc and has a ful-colour photo salon feature on 0848. It was published in 1995 and can still be found on Ebay and specialist bookshops etc.

Interesting Question. On the far wall are speed Jacks. Let me take a look at 0854.

The objects at the bottom of the photo are the mechanics tool box handles.

I wonder if they could double as Jack stands on the quick jack points?
The one at the left is taller and beefier than the ones on the right which interestingly look like weight has been put on them. Front and rear?

It seems to me the lenght of the handle bars is too short to double as stands. Unless they'd use two side by side.

That's what I'm thinking. One for each quick jack point although as Sigmund said sometimes a cigar is just a cigar and they're most likely simply handles.

You've got to admit, looking at that last pic, the crumple zone on that car is superb. Many other cars would have been totally destroyed cabin wise with an impact that hard. Says a lot for the build quality of the frames on the old racers

Sadly that likely wasn't a hard hit as IMO if it was the car would have been destroyed. Compared to the Fords the Ferrari's were tissue paper. That's one reason they were so light. Keeping drivers alive in bad crashes wasn't something that many 60's era cars did.
