Is anyone else collecting the new 1/43 IXO La Storia Ferrari collection?

They're releasing a significant F1 Ferrari model from every year. Packaged in wonderfull Book shaped cases for storage in a library.

Every 2 months or so they're releasing another Model, so this will be going on for about 2 years. I've just ordered the 5th release, the 1949 Ascari.

This is an amazing series, the quality is not BBR but the packaging is outstanding. Each model has a little booklet that talks about the history of that particular car.

Here are some pics for those of you who have not seen these.

Also here is the list of future releases:

    Gorgeous!

BTW: As a self proclaimed 1/18 collector and 1/43 diser I must confess that I have switched sides...Started collecting 1/43 just a few weeks ago. I still keep some good 1/18 cars, but will part with many of them. Reasons are space and the lack of many cars in 1/18 scale. These old F1 cars are a perfect example.

I have the original La Storia cars, but have held off on the new ones. I may get a few of the cars I really like. IXO does a good job on thier cars. I have the street Ferraris and their LeMans cars.

I had a glimpse of the first one when they were released, should be the F1-2000 Indianapolis, however it doesn't look too accurate in terms of the shape. It looks much 'fatter' than the real car.

I have about 10 of the original La Storia line that came out w/o the book. I do like the book though, if anything I'd like to buy Schumachers Ferrari champ cars.

I just love the fact that I can have a "Library" of all the first 54 Years of Ferrari F1. Grandprixlegends.com is preselling the entire collection. $3k, and they ship them as they're released.

I'm just picking them up one by one. Both prior La Storia collection got cancelled after a few models. I think this book format works best.

And I compared the F1-2000 to a BBR that I have. It's not that different. I'd say the BBR detail is the only real seperator. Everything else looks right, from proportions on.
