If anyone wants or needs any Kinky Friedman yard signs, I have a couple left. These will be collector items. PM me for details. Also I've been told He'll be speaking at TCU tomorrow @ 7:30pm: Steve & Sarah Smith Entreprenuer Hall, Room 104, if you want to get something signed here's your chance. Be sure to catch him on the Late Show with David Letterman this coming Friday night.
the answer is no. that came up awhile back as some vets took exception to him wearing those and other military insignia as he never served. I think his reply was to show support or something along those lines. thanks for explaining Mike (LSU348). kind of thought thats what you meant, but you never know on FC.....
It was bugging me for days, but I got it! I think he kind of looks like Richard Boone in the old "Have Gun, Will Travel". Is that a good enough reason to vote for somebody?
I like the commercial where he is asked (as the action figure) can you make the Democrats and Republicans work together, he answers, "I am running for Governor, not God".
he should wear an american flag or something other than the airborne wings and whatever else he wears...
Haven't seen it, but sounds like a good one. I saw another one late last night that I liked, but don't remember much about it.
Voting for Perry is like purchasing a Michael jackson album. No one will ever admit to it but for some unknown reason, his albums sell millions and Perry is leading the polls! Who in the he&& is actua&&y voting for him? Bell is an absolute troll but I am afraid Grandma and Kinky are going to split the votes that could have made a run...
I'm voting for Kinky because... He's the only one who hasn't called me with a telemarketing recording!
I'm voting for Kinky too. No other good choice in my opinion. Maybe there are others that are sick of all the crap too and come out and vote. I'm also voting for Prop 1-4 in Austin and against 5-7.
Aaand if I had a gun handy and could get away with it, I'd shoot that damn thumb off of Perry's hand!
"Gig em" being shoved down my throat every chance he gets. seriously, ever since I saw the in-car video from the officer that pulled Perry over drunk driving here in Austin when he gave the guy the riot act "do you know who I am????" and a bunch more. I may not be "politcally correct" but I don't like someone like that in charge of my affairs.
I missed that story...makes me feel great about my "Kinky" vote about 45 minutes ago. Man there were a lot of judges on there! There is also a massive tax increase on the Houston ballot at the end...HE&& NO was not a choice but I looked for it. Media circus to begin in about 1 hour...
Oh well, I didn't really expect him to win. Still glad I voted that way, I just couldn't stomach any of the other candidates.
I'm guessing that the majority of the Kinky and CKS voters would've voted Democrat if not for the independant candidates. If so, looks like Mr. Perry would've lost pretty soundly.
Not really. Most of the Strayhorn votes would have gone to Perry, and a majority of Kinky votes to Bell or maybe Werner. Most likely, the Kinky voters wouldn't have bothered voting.
same here David and I'd add the redistricting nonsense and OBTW where the hell's my property tax break? Mine went up for cryin' out loud!
I went to the rally in Ft Worth last night, I had a felling early on Perry would get it but I never thought Kinky would loose by such a large margin. It was like a bomb of reality dropped upon us. Everyone I spoke to, from supporters with yard signs & bumper stickers were in heavy support of Friedman. The area that I live in was saturated with supporters but in the end that annoying special interest group of retired elderly religious right Perry supporters f*cktards win again. When I saw John Wiley Price’s short rant on Friedman “pointless attempt” last night. When I heard that, I wanted him to get clubbed like a baby seal. It really is amazing that racist waste of skin still has a place in Dallas government with all the crap he’s done in the past. Well, I did my best & so did everyone else to make a difference & regardless of everyone else’s opinion, this is a start to a road of change.
