Saw "Borat" with Regis Philbin the other day on an NYC street corner... They were filming a segment...

 

Funniest parts for me where:

1. The naked wrestling (taken too far)
2. The preaching part (lalalalalalalala)
3. running naked through the conference (WTF)
4. Hitch-hiking with those dudes!
5. Dinner with the locals (What do i do with thees?)

I cant help but think that some parts of it must have been set up but you never know.........

Brilliant piece of satire.

I've been watching Ali G since his HBO entrance in the US; I've always been a big fan. I was Borat for Halloween this year.

My only beef with it was that, as a fan, I'd watched almost every interview and clip available to me before the movie came out. A lot of the jokes were ones recycled from the movie, so when I saw the movie, those jokes made me merely chuckle, rather than laugh hysterically.

 

I cant believe the people in the movie didn´t know who he was.

I´ve been watching borat for the last 4 years and I would be honored to be on his show

 

Great flick. I agree with Mike, Ive watched Borat/ Ali-g/ Bruno for about a year or 2 (auctually it was at the recomendation of F-chat members) so I already knew alot of the jokes, but the movie was still hilarious.


Cant wait for Bruno, he is my favorite out of the trio.

 

Well .... I thought it was pretty lame with beat up "joke scenes". disgusting moments filled with filth - yes, humorous? No.

Definitely not worth $ spent on tickets.

 

For anyone interested, HBO is running a marathon of Ali G episodes from twenty 03 and 04, beginning in about ten minutes time. Enjoy!

I can't wait to see it. I was really shocked that hardly any of my friends know who he is. Turns out none of them have HBO.

He seems to really be making the rounds now to promote it. Saw him on Conan and heard him on O&A.

The thing about Da Ali G show was those people didn't know who he was, and he could get the big name guests. I caught part of the HBO marathon, that's the good stuff.

 

Would you guys say this guy is the second coming of Yakov Smirnoff?

Thought the Borat previews were extremely stupid.
Saw a free sneak preview.
I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard and so long.
Will gladly pay to see it again.

Just saw this last night and couldn't stop laughing !!!

"You make a hand party with my Pamela"

It was one of those movies where when the final credits roll you look at your watch and go "geez it is over already".....because you were to busy laughing all the way thru it.

 

A local DJ interviewed the humor coach from the movie on-air last week and he had some interesting things to say. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I guess his scene was about 10 minutes. He said that they spent about 75 minutes together. After about 15 minutes, he suspected something was up but waited until they took a break half way through to ask the producers about it. He told them that he figured something was going on, and that he'd still be happy to play along if they let him in on it. The producers just told him "No, no, you're doing terrific." The humor coach also said that SBC never broke character the entire time, and referred to him as a comic genius. Because not only did Cohen/Borat have no idea of how the questioning would flow (ie. answers) but that he always had something smart and funny to follow.
