    Yep, the discs get very hot, up to 1000 degrees C, I think.

    Camera mounted on a rig (attached to the car). But I'm not sure how genuine the disc glow is as these shots are usually taken at low speed to avoid camera shake. Having said that, it does look like high speed judging by the blur of the tyre.
