I Dont Understand

IMO the F50 is the best looking Ferrari ever but the Enzo comes in a very close second place. I love the aggresive lines on the car that shout "FAST". There is only one thing I don't like about the car which no one else ever seems to notice. When you look at the car head on the passenger mirror is completly different size than the driver side mirror. I know it is something very minor but everytime I look at the car I cant stop noticing that. Of course my favorite color on the Enzo is yellow

I've always been at a tossup between the F-50 and the Enzo. I'm siding with the Enzo these days though. My fav for sure is the FXX, not sure if that counts. That car is insane.

I like the F-40, but not nearly as much as the F-50. Also a big fan of some of the 355's. Love the MC-12 also. Killer car.

I can see how some people might not like the Enzo, we all have our taste preferences

 

To consider the Enzo as "not beautiful" would be to miss the point completely

The car is a rolling example of pure function over form

It just so happens that the resulting creation is absolutely stunning due to the fact its entirely functional

 

i think the from the side and rear the enzo is gorgeous.
i just don't find the f1 style nose particularly attractive on a road car.
although i value a cars performance more highly than the way it looks.
if a car does what you want it to do, you tend to think it's beautiful
no matter what anybody else thinks!

Agreed, I think it does too. I love the Enzo as well..has that exotic presence. An uneducated car person could see it and know that it is something special, unlike the Veyron IMHO. I'm considering putting an Enzo body kit on my Honda..

 

Joe the real question here is why the hell havent I bought a Muria SV? At the risk of losing friends here I think the Muria SV is the best looking sports car, period(and i'm a Lambo guy & the Muria is a good investment as well). I bought the Enzo because its a close 2nd for me and I like the technology. But your cars over the years have been beyond amazing and our detail guy is the best, he needs to go spend time on Jims P4/5 then it will be complete. Jim I'll talk to you about that later, i have been meaning to call you about Jeff Jackobs-no one is a better detailer period. Right Joe? He spent 5 weeks on one of my cars it will be in Monterey next year.

i made this thread for some oppising view points and good conversation we all have different tastes, i know that. i just wanted conversation that wasnt about seral numbers or production numbers etc.

I love all cars, what ever one i'm driving at the time is my favorite. I just bought a Gallardo Spyder Wow, but when I'm in something else i dont even remember I own an Gallardo etc.

 

MC12 looks cool, i have only seen pics, but its kinda a knock=off

 

As far as a Miura SV is concerned, Im not holding you back!...They are not getting cheaper it seems, so PM me if you want one

I agree with you on the F1 nose being the thing that I find unappealing on the Enzo.

I also REALLY mourn the loss of the 'grinning' air intake that was a Ferrrari trademark for so long..I think thats why the 360/430 dont get my blood flowing like the older cars.

THe Enzo would rock with that design elemnt incorporated into it.

 

MC-12 Is unbelievable in person, I have always always loved the Enzo, but after seeing the MC12 the second time in person, I might choose it over the enzo. People just gaped when they saw it, it is so unusual, it is very long, very low, and very wide, and the two tone color flows with the cars design. And you can take the roof off when you want which is nice. The only ugly bit in my opinion is the little air scoop on the roof but it isnt that bad. It seemed as though it might be difficult to drive but who cares, no rear view mirror who cares? It is still really cool!

 

The Enzo is function over form. Most people cannot seem to grasp this.

 

You are right about the MC12 being a knock off. Sure in the hell is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

My thoughts are that a lot of Ferrari cars, especially the classics are sexy in an almost feminine kind of way. Really nice curves. The Enzo does not have that look about it. It is all business and if you look at it from a pure performance/machine standpoint it is stunning, but not really sexy. I really like the looks of the Enzo but not in a lusty kind of way. When looking at it you know it is all about performance wrapped up in a nice tight package. (Mr. G's car put sex back into the machine.) I don't dislike the way the Enzo looks, I just appreciate it in a different way.

I like the looks of the MC-12 but that wing ruins the car for me. I hate the way it sticks out on the sides. I am sure this is to get it out in the wind where it can do something but it looks like an afterthought so I gotta give that one a thumbs down.
