I am buying a 2005 M3 from a place in Houston called Vehicle Liquidators and need a recommendation for a place to do a PPI. I live in Austin and am not familiar with Houston BMW specialists. Thanks

    Thanks for the help.

The people selling the car said they would take it to whoever I wanted and when I suggested one of the BMW dealers he said this would be fine, but that it was his understanding the BMW dealers no longer did PPI's as they didn't want to be responsible for any unfound problems. I will call Momentum tomorrow as they just serviced the car and were the people who had the car on their lot for a while. They are supposed to have all of the service and repair records.

The "story" is that while the car was in the Momentum showroom, someone threw a brick through their showroom window and it hit the front quarter panel which was replaced and repainted. I just want to be sure that the brick was not connected to a brick wall. Does anyone know who does Momentum's body work?

I was told that Momentum BMW sold the car at auction after having it for a while. They said the reason for Momentum's sale at auction was inventory reduction. The car has about 4,500 miles and an inservice date of 6/3/06. The car is a titanium convertible with a purchase price of $43,700.00.

After searching the BMW forums someone suggested Mike at
Bavarian Machine Specialties for a PPI. He is located at
    3117 D'Amico
    Houston, TX 77019
    Phone: 713.524.8365

    Does anyone know them?

I was wrong about it happening at Momentum. Apparently, it happened at Advantage BMW. As it is covered by a warranty, I think what I really need is a reference to a good body shop that can determine if there is just a repainted panel or more extensive damage.

Personally I'd have European Cars, Ltd. on Feagan check it out......

Talk to Phil or Jim Lightfoot there, they are good guys.

They do BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche exclusively,...they chase my Ferraris away with a broom!

    They'll know who sent ya.....;)
