Yes saw him too.... also saw him at Vivo city with a taller than him girlfriend. Still same old causal attire. Polo Tee, Bermudas and Tods Ferrari.
Hey Guys, I heard someone has ordered a light blue LP640 at the Singapore Motorshow. There is a DB9 on show at Vivocity to promote Casino Royale. Anyone watching?
Hi all. A friend of mine in Indonesia has just sold his Murcielago. Lost about 30% in 2 years even though the car has about 1000km only. How is the depreciation curve in Singapore? Autobahn tried to convince me that a late model Modena would depreciate by about 30K per year. Older Ferraris would depreciate much less.
Some of the Older ones can be arranged. But I think the newer ones are so much better to drive than the older ones!
Haha he can have my "Frank Muller" which i bought in Shanghai kakaka... Actually plan to stop posting on 69. So, well like to share some interesting history on Eurosports since I have always been talking about HSM...so my dear Padawans...watch for it Listening to Patti Page- Old Cape Cod
Hi King, What do you mean arranged? I did notice that prices of 348 and 355 are not falling as fast now. However, big cc cars' depreciation are horrendous. Not sure if TR's price drops less than Maranello's though. I find Singapore's PARF or ARF system very confusing.
I do not think one should be too worried about things like depreciation...taking a line from Bad Boys... "dun hate to play the game" As this is my last posting as the noodle maker (landlord foreclosing for rent in arrears) well lets sit down and share a story shall we.... Most of the gentlemen here know about the story of HSM by now...lets talk about Eurosports and its beginnings shall we? Advert: KDK fans 10% discount till month end, whilst stocks last!" Anyway once upon a time, there was a guy called Melvin...he happily ran Gay Hin for 17 years wheeling and dealing in used Porsches. One day several calender years ago, he suddenly decided he wanted to do more then just sell used Porsches, ambition began to manifest in so many intersting ways.. He went looking for a new car franchise...at that time, before 2000, there was an Alfa Romeo franchise that was up for graps, it was held by a malaysian gentleman who also had the franchise for malaysia, sales were poor in Singapore and he was looking for a strategic partner in Singapore. So along came Melvin with his bus loads of moolah, supported by the substancial resources of his pappy, who owned quite abit of industrial land in Sinagpore... Anyways...so Melvin took over the local franchise in an informal agreement with his new malaysian partner, who happens to own the entire building that you see now. Advert: 2 Alfa 8C on the way, LHD ex tax S$280,000, looking for buyers. The going was tough then, many people had aversions to Alfa marque...that was the time Melvin undertook the Lotus dealership, which like the Alfa Romeo was a no-brainer since no one wanted to market it locally. With his large pool of customers that he handled personally over the last 17 years,, Mel had no problems moving a few of the problematic Lotus Mark 1s. There are times when there is an entry of a brilliant person into a company that shifts things forward. Just like what Pang Chong Yan did for HSM many years ago (used to be a sales manager at HSM now the head of Volvo) this salesmanager that Melvin hired was equally brilliant. He restructured and advised Melvin on many marketing issues. Remember, Melvin at that time was or is very much like the Hong brothers.... very inept in the finer details of marketing propitious niche items. Advert: Bobby likes to call people chee bye...(i resent that) I call him the TITS Anyway this brilliant guy we shall call him Apple, threw up the idea that they could try to get the dealership for Lamboghini. At that time the delearship was held by HSM but was hugely neglected, averaging 1-2 cars in 2-3 year period. Then VW had just taken over the Lambo marque from the Suharto family and there were already questions being asked to HSM. Anyway at this time, Melvin wanted Apple to concentrate on talking with the principals so in order to offload some duties he hired another SM by the name of K.C Chong. Anyway, Apple left after while as he felt that the company was not moving in the right direction, but he still continued to help Melvin get the dealership for the Lambo. Over a period of two years negotiations were frantic, from what I know Apple continued to help Melvin in his private capacity. The going was tough as the germans frowned upon the credentials of Melvin. Advert: Where is my breakfast, I'm hungry" At the end of the day, you see the fruits of the success today.....(again its kind of sad as at the end of the day the current "brand manager" (read moron) took all the credit of Lambo from Apple... But then I have to comment on something, whilst sipping on drinks in the Lambo "tent" I heard a comment that irked me..it went like this " I made sure our "tent" was besides HSM so that we can overshadow them completely..." Quote un quote Moron Well well....coming from a brand manager who has no formal edcation who once admitted that he so religiously copy every design idea from the Lambo coporate identity file...its a cocky statement indeed. As i read somewhere before, too much group think makes everyone dumb. I do hope that Melvin do not fall into this business model that he is following at present...power is nothing without control u see... I do feel a sense of pity for HSM now...belief it or not...cough cough..Euro is running very lean now as they concentrate on volume...the amount they make per car is only 80K. HSM does have alot of catching up to do, as they see their market share slowly being eroded by CGTs and Lambo. Perhaps what ET needs is another Pang Chong Yan to come around to be of proper assistance, not the goons he has surrounding him now...but then the Maser guy got potential lei ic ic...not the ugly looking one, but the tall chap fomerly from ERA i think. Anyway...thats it for now...Bak Chor Mee signing out with post 69, though I am not a fan of 69 hahah Disclaimer: All that you have read is just from a fertile imagination of a pre-pubersent kid still looking for his first lay...plus he talks and hugs Mickey every night....tah tah
