Mostly the same, except for the biggy.... You don't have to worry about the expensive 3 year belt change on the 430.

Plan on spending around $1,200 a year. You can add another $1,800 for the belts every 3 years on the 360.

According to FoS nothing other than fluids until 60k or so. Then I am told you can plan on a top end re-build.

Long long ago in a distant foreign-car nightmare only decades away....there were bizarre little cars like MG, Fiat, Triumph and other odd-balls. These little cars were querky, unreliable, parts were not readily available and finding a good mechanic was as rare as finding a woman who actually works and doesn't run-up your credit cards.

Don't let the import and exotic-car lore fool you...these cars are incredibly reliable, and most shops turn wrenches for about a C-note per hour, it's not as crazy as many suggest. When people tell me the maintenance will kill you on a Ferrari...I ask them how much maintenance was on THEIR Ferrari; OPPS, they don't have nor ever had a Ferrari....they just "heard", blah blah blah.

And let's not even get started on which exhaust sounds the best or how bright the LED replacement back-up lights illuminate. We've got serious issues to solve and we need serious drivers. Your 15-minutes is up.

Just kidding, it's a caffiene thang. Cheers, be well, Bob's your uncle and all that sorta stuff. :) (<-- smile indicates sincerity of jovial nature)

Ferrari has never made more reliable and practical cars - ENJOY!

the ferrari salesman told me that the 360's major service (i think at 3 years) had a lot more service hours (like about 15-20 more hours) involved in it than the 430's.

i can't remember why, but something had to be moved/taken out on the 360 that didn't have to be on the 430 due to its new design. maybe someone with more expertise can explain.

430 is alot cheaper then 360. 360 is alot cheaper than a 355 etc.

430 has no cam belts, F1 gearbox is much improved for example.

355 you need to take the entire engine out for cam belts...

    Just what he said.

355's are a pain to work on
    360's getting better.
430, now thats more like it.

That's ridiculous....you don't really believe that, do ya?

Honestly, I've heard the engine is good for 200k+

    Yes, seriously!

Except for the "rebuild" part which , given the amount of miles anyone on this board drives their car(s), will probably be someone elses cost.

If you believe the 60 or the 200 number I have a really good deal on a bridge.

And really people, some salesmen try, but if you are looking for information of a technical nature don't ask them. That's like asking the PR guy at a hospital for the inside dope on brain surgery.
