    See the pic below which I took from CNN. I am pretty sure that is a member of the Queen's Army.

    I have served with Royal Marines but I have never seen that type of rifle. Do any of you know what that is?

    still looks like the SA80 from that angle. Dont tell me you used the SLRs,old school:)

    Believe it's a glorified L98 with a scope?

    Hahaha!!

    No no.... I should have been more clear, I am with the US Marines and when I served with the Royal Marines it was as an observer and I had my own, US Colt M-4. They did have the SA80 and looking at it I think you are right. It looks to me to have had some mods put on it though.

    I know its the SA due to me serving in the Royal Marines me self dude, for 9 years, and that was our wepon of choice. We did and exchange with a section of US Marines in the early 90s. Good bunch of lads but so bloody loud LOL!! :)
