Think again..... This isn't the place for it, put it on FerrariAds.com which is the correct place. There have been several ads posted in here lately and I will make an example of someone if it continues. If you have any questions check out what I do to people who come here looking for investors in the business section..... it will be funny for everyone but you :D

what about posting a link to your ferrari ad? I do not think many people check ferrari ads on a regular basis.

Technically not, but it happens and seems to be tolerated. Perhaps Fchat should create a sticky "New FerrariAds Listings" thread in Ferrari Discussion? That would give users a legitimate way to announce their listing and provide a link to users who only pay attention to the main board. Users who are interested in the ads can subscribe to the thread, those who don't care will know to pass it by.

what do people make of ferrari market letter to place ad?

i just had my 6 month subscription to on line fml run out where my 348 spider was listed. i never got a single response in that time. did get responses from fca newsletter though. also, no one from fca ad was willing to go to fml to see fotos of my car

seemed like a big waste. maybe carbon mccoy will comment.

In fairness to all sellers, the market is very, very tough at the moment for all products. The avenues of advertising that previously worked so well are not now so doing.

You can't say advertising is a "waste" because you did not sell your car. You don't know who has looked at your ad, and you think you had no viewers because you received no response.

Many are trying to sell cars, interest rates are up, disposible income is down. This is not a good combination. There is a dealer in LA that has over 6,000 cars in inventory. How would you like that responsibility?

Keep trying in different ways, re-write the ad, get creative, but don't give up because it got tough.

Walt Disney filed bankruptcy four (4) times before he clicked with Disneyland!

So, you think he gave up?

I'm as guilty as others, but keep in mind that many of us are extremely busy and may not always have time to cruise through the FChat ad's VS seeing a bullet thread of a car for sale. The type of threads that you are questioning also prompt further and valuable dialog about the specific car that many of us can learn from.

I'm all for threads (like mine) of people that are selling their cars and believe it adds value to the buying experience! Just my $.02 :)

As a subscriber I welcome seeing a post about another subscribers car for sale. I know it's a gray area in the rules but if it's someone that's contributed here I think it helps us all. Most do post on Ferrari Ads also and the link idea is a good one.

Now, if someone just registers and posts an ad I would agree that removing it is the right thing to do.

Agree with this comment also. As long as it's a subscribed member I see no problem for someone who has contributed to the website just to get some extra exposure, plus it's not like it's getting out of hand and hard to find any real threads.

I agree---don't sweat it---you can pretty much do whatever in this section and no one is going to say anything. I don't care about the cars for sale myself at all. I am just trying to make a point that this section needs some mods who are here to help us. There have been numerous threads about many UNrelated Ferrari things and vehicles that just does NOT belong in this section. After repeated PM's to OUR mods in this section, nothing much gets done. I have even PMed Rob about it - and still nothing gets done. I guess we have no choice but to deal with the ramblings about NSX's and Mom's recipe for Turkey in the 348/355 section...

Sorry folks.... I'm not currently in the country and was off the board for while, I know it's a lousy excuse but Uncle Sam takes precedence at times. Unfortunately it would seem that none of the other mods were keeping an eye on things. After reading through the comments from Peter, LetsJet and Kevin I think the best solution is something along what Yin suggested with a consolidated thread for members (no newbies or dealers) who would like to announce and discuss their cars for sale. Whoever wants to can start the thread up, if there are ads outside the the designated thread please report them so they can be taken care of.
