(blessings from moderetti to flog here :p )

1.5 years in the making... here it is!

(...or check out the exoticsintheoutback.com website for other info)

48 pages of pics from the inaugaral NT adventure, almost A4 size (US letter) in landscape edition and wire bound like a calendar - except you get a pic on top and bottom instead!

price? $23 bucks US, which is about $29AUD, plus postage. from the orders i've done personally, it takes 6-8 werking days to get to me here in adelaide.

this book is "print on demand", meaning there's no floor stock, so when you put your order in it goes off to be printed and delivered, and each time i've done it it's taken < 2 weeks.

gratis copies will be on their way to Rock On '05 players, they can contact me later if they want more or if they think it's **** or something. :p

this is my first shot fellas! be a part of history!! :)

---------- boring stuff below -----------------

yes, it's printed in the US, why? currently nobody in australia (~15 quotes) can do a book like this as print-on-demand for less than $80ea (cost price), and i don't feel like ordering 1,000 of them for bulk discount and becoming a salesman just to break even.

payment? credit card, paypal, blah blah. this is all handled by LuLu.com who are my online publishing partner, they take a commission from my product and organise the whole payment/printing/mailing side of things. (if you want one and don't want to follow these channels PM me and i'll get one to you)

part proceeds (5-10% each after costs) go to dingo and jim501 as some of their pics appear in the book. the 'profit' is a low margin on these items, and it all goes to starving camera-jockeys who take time away from their own job to make your cars look good! :p

quality? the materials are in US standards, so the inside paper is 80# which is about 120gsm (1.5 times harder than office paper) and the covers are 100# which is almost photo-card. objectively i'd give it an 8 out of 10 for materials, honestly it *could* be better but it is very good, basically it's the best available (at < $100). content is a 9 out of 10 (as you can see!!! :) ), with some truly extraodinary images that deserve to be looked at long after you've thrown out your 80's porn collection.

the images are viewable on the link above in a nice little preview so you can see exactly what you're getting.

let me know if there's anything i've left out.

attached are some of the photos that appear in glorious full-size in the book.

    enjoy!!!! :)

My wife gets books and all kinds of stuff from www.kodakgallery.com all the time.

very quick and easy, and not even all that expensive.

Me too, thanks Ash. Looks good but the covers are back to front. I'm not sure if you need to rotate the pics of the covers or something.

    Thanks Ash,

Looks excellent and a nice reminder of an activity about to be outlawed.

    Don't I wish I had gone this year :(

    Cheers

You're not robinson curuso, quite a few people wished they could have gone... it was a real blast.

It saddens me to see so many things being outlawed these days.
That's why my motto is "do it now before they stop ya doing it"

looked at that. can't make exactly what i wanted to, closest option would have cost around $70 for something with 1/3 of the shots of my $29 buck jobbie, not really feasible.
