I am having new camshafts made for my 1967 330 GTC. Any thoughts on having performance cams made vs. stock. This motor has 365 carbs which really woke it up.Would a hotter cam help? Anyone here have any experience with such a mod?
    Thanks,
    Tom

A hotter cam will help performance, make sure your shop is familiar with this and can tune for the new cam.

Many years ago I had my cams reground by Crane for my 330 GTC. My carbs were 40 DFIs but rejetted and with slightly bigger chokes (30 mm). Made a big difference. If you send me your emial address and can send you the specs on the cams. I still have a copy of that.

    Lift @ the cam .3067"
Lift at the valve .4110" (rocker ratio is 1.34:1)

    Intake opens @ 40 BTDC, closes @ 72 ABDC
    Exhaust opens @ 72 BBDC, closes @ 40 ATDC

    Intake adjust .008" cold
    Exhaust adjust .010" cold

This grind equates to the 10 mm lift, 292 degree duration comp cams. The car idled pretty smoothly- couldn't really tell about the cams.
