Mike, I can bring you over to LimYewBoo @ SiMing if you want but probably Sat morning or any weekday mornings as I can't make it this Sat afternoon. Old Lim just did my TR, he was the ex-painter of HSM but got booted either he became too expensive or probably due to some old squabble. Wilson did his 348 there last year & he did a few few other 360s, 355s & Gallardos as well. Either that or we can meet @ A-Long's place @ Teban Gardens but prepare to wait for his work. Lastly, I'm doing my 911 paint @ a workshop in Eunos as he's my in-law's old buddy & promised good price & work. Actually, you're just doing a coat & patch up the chips. It shouldn't cost more than S$3K & likely S$2K+/- if you know the painter but we're kind of "worried" because we wouldn't want anyone taking our Fcar out for a joyride or damage it. So, a little more for peace of mind. Let me know, you've got my no.

Now, my only wish is to gather a photo shoot for all the Testas left here hmmmm.

Perhaps the motorshow is more sales-oriented. I don't think they would bring in the Enzo since it's no longer available for sale other than pre-owned.

I though the Eurosports stand was very chic actually. If space is the ultimate luxury, then it was well demonstrated at their stand.

I also thought that the 2 stands were designed to deliberately reflect the spirit of the makers (rather than the dealers). If you go to the Ferrari Factory (see old gate) and Lambo Museum, you will see that the style was reflected in the 2 stands.

I think I saw that Merc. Suprisingly, there's more than a few around. Look at the dash and cabin for the wood, leather and chrome but in black, the car looks hearse like. Suggest to your friend to 2 tone it.

Agree on most of what you have said about old car / new car but not on all your choices of what constitutes "classics". Lung's point about premium is different - its about cars moving out of the salesroom.

The new cars are not necesarily disposable in design. I love the shape of the 599 and think its the best from Ferrari in recent times. Its destined to be a classic in my view. However, performance wise, there is no question that any of the new Ferraris will beat the best of the old ones.

Oh Clive....settled the lay-off? Can't wait to see your baby :)

Is it possible to leave it in naked CF body or you painting it?

BTW, does anyone know if those multi-point racing harnesses are road legal & passes inspection? I've seen some street cars having them here.

I'm replacing my vintage orig. 3point belts & wonder if those are a good option. I'm getting from Miki marketing or any reccomendations please. Or do you guys know where to find those coloured belts?

Adios.....go take a breather, there is life other than forums. Hope you car's alright. The weather kind of wet lately & we really need to be careful. A guy in UK just totalled his 360 while taking a corner @ just 60mph in wet weather.

Not sure if they are legal. Had them in my last car. But you will find them a pain for daily use once the 'look at me/race driver' euphoria has worn off. You can't reach anything that is not within immediate reach without having to loosen both sides.

I remember some of you talking about your new in car cameras a while back. Can you tell me what brand you bought, what tape format and where (ideally in Singapore or on net) you bought them?

I am sick of my handicam shaking itself to death in my race car and constantly trying to refocus on the windscreen wiper!!

Your absolutely right about the belts - looks nice but not very practical or comfortable. Not recommended unless you really need it (for whatever reason). Why not just change colour ? I saw some scarlet ones in an Aston special order. Quite nice contrast with the dark leather.

Ha ha, SF, I hate to be a stickler but its not the forum that almost killed the man but his driving ... had he been typing away, he would have been much safer .. I think its "there is life other than driving (at high speed) .." rather that he should remember.

Safety Devices in the UK made a 3-point belt that had a retracting thingy so that they could be used a bit more normally. I only ever used the Willans harnesses in the Griffith on very long runs in the UK, here there is no point.

Hi, just out of curiosity, last weekend I was on Bukit Timah Road and there was a Mondial Cabriolet (actually could maybe have been 308 GTS QV and hence this post is irrelevant, I didnt get a good enough look) behind me with a European looking couple in it, the wife was driving. Might this have been your car?

Hi Shredder, a cabriolet is quite easy to spot with the all black canvas top & the Mondial is red/tan last owned by a Chinese man (an Fchatter too) recently but he could have passed it on since he was selling it.

About the racing harnesses, yes it's a pain to use & adjusted to fit one position only but my current isn't too good either (911). It's fraying, jams & locks up when I don't need it but seems that nobody is selling it locally & I've just fitted a GT3 style bucket seat. Anyone have a website to contact for OEM belts?

FF, can you give me the contact for your windscreen fixer? I recently saw a local Porsche with a bracket mounted on the outside, just above the B pillar presumably for a camera. Good point on the vibration issue but does a Videocam with antishake help?

King, I would love to take a short drive up & find some food but I'm on duty for the weekends lately :( so maybe some other bachelor boys...
