He couldn't get insurance because the vehicle was too new? That doesn't make sense to me. Are you sure that his insurance company doesn't provide some type of automatic coverage for a short-term grace period?
This is crap Vick! I used to work at a car dealership and in PA and NJ anyway a new car delivery cannot be made unless the dealership has verified insurance! It is against the law! Number 2 there is no such thing as not insuring a car because it is too new. I have seen brand new z06's, xlr-v, and everything else under the sun added to the policy or covered for 30 days under the existing policy. It might take the insurance company time to give your dad a quote on a new car if that is what you mean? Erik
WOW I JUST BOUGHT A NEW 07 FERRARI BUT ITS SO NEW I CANT INSURE IT... what.... wait no... im pretty sure that any car in current production that is made for the US can be insured... I mean you might want to go with a specialty insurance for one reason or another but there is no reason that ur local AAA insurance company cant insure an aston AMV 8.... Hell i could go down to my local agent and insure a Veryon right now... yes it might cost the price of a 575 but i could... bs alert
it is illegal to drive in the usa without insurance. The dealership is not allowed to let you take possession of a car without insurance. It is a risk to them and to the customer...
How dare you question my integrety? My father was not aware of that 30 day policy because the dealership that he has been a customer for 20+ years has there own 30 day policy but that does not cover collisions, its a complicated policy that i cant even explain, so my dad was practicly uninsured considering his collision. and he got a qoute, $2,523.50 is a six month quote which means $477 a month. The reason it is so high is because my mom is under the policy and she has a vast accident history. the provider is encompass. my dad is not happy with the $500 deductable for any type of collision. but thats the best rate he could get. And BTW, I will not defend myself anymore, if anybody has any questions pm me or if it is about the car and not about the insurance feel free to post. I am not going to put my privilages in jepordy for something that is apaulling towards my eithics and integrity being questioned for pure entertainment. i told you before and i will tell you again, i lied about the mercedes but i learned my lesson, so why would you think i am oblibious towards your feedback and advice, i'm not that ignorant. spare me. I am not here to explain myself niether to be acused of defamation. Thanks, Vic
haha. You are entertaining. Oh, I want your dad's insurance policy. $477 a month, and that covers all the cars, and your mom? And to top it off, your mom has accident history. Wow, I need that insurance.

You're still not making sense. Are you now saying that your father's insurance company DOES have a 30-day automatic coverage for a new vehicle, but that he simply wasn't aware of it because the dealership gave him their own 30-day policy? I'm not saying that you are lying, but it sounds like you don't know all of the information in this case. With regard to the integrity statement, I think (hope) that you will learn a bit about this in your life. If you get caught telling lies, it will take a while before you earn trust again. When you start making statements that don't follow logic or law, people will ask questions. When the answers still don't make sense, people will draw upon past experiences to make judgements. You damaged your reputation. It won't be fixed overnight.
sounds like it to me! everything is "my dad" this "my dad" that. Dudes dad seems like he knows nothing about cars...sad. For "dad" that seems so successful in his business...he appears quite ignorant on real world facts.
thats what i mean about the insurance, with the 30 day policy thing. and with the integrety statement, I am truely sorry. I was very fired up then. and i dont know all of the info, i just know that my dad was blind-sighted with his insurance situation.
Was your dad able to contact his insurance company and find that he had coverage on the Lexus? Don't worry about getting fired up, we all do from time to time.
It sure is, you know where I may be able to get this in high-res? Thank god we're back onto Astons, no offence, but Lexus insurance doesn't get me excited...
Acutally that was one of a whole series of photos that they did. Its called Aston Martin as Art project IIRC. I have the high res photos. I can email them if you are interested. PM me. They are absoloutley beautiful. EDIT: I just checked the total size of the pictures. The complete set is 95.6 megs. If there is any interest, maybe we can upload them somewhere so everyone can get them?
I'd forgotten all about this, but I found the whole series of pictures downloadable as wallpapers here: http://articles.motortoday.com/misc/AstonMartinArt/
