That was not his actual question, I will take a screen shot of my ebay inbox tomorrow, i am not sure why he lied about what he asked.

His question was somewhere along the lines of, "How are you able to sell this car if Ferrari is the only one authorized to sell it"

I did not dodge it look further into the thread.

Ben handles that end of the business, you can contact Colin Bowler at Racing Green if you do not believe us.

FIRST OFF, as a professional if you were handling exotic cars, you wouldn't have a car lot. You would have a showroom or a secured warehouse, not a small lot.

No one here cares about your personal success, you came into the world of Fchat with the mindset to impress. The people here that deal with the most high-end exotics, and the most legit car collectors would never act like you. And still to this day haven't, see the difference?

JUST GIVE UP, honestly. Or pull a Dan C, and prove us all wrong (but you would still be labeled a jackass). Just complete one transaction and show us what's up. Stop trying to persuade us on nothing in the meantime. I once heard, "Be proud and back what it is you do, because at the end of the day your reputation is all you have." Prove that "MDM Eurotics" isn't just an ABSOLUTE HUGE PATHETIC JOKE like we all think it is...

Just stop talking. It's not even wording it wrong, its common sense. Yeah, your gonna put an FXX, or any high-end Exotic on a standard car lot?

GIVE UP or make ANY transaction on ANY car besides one you personally own and PROVE it.

And if you are too half asleep or tired to word a basic sentence right, then don't word it at all. You are still making your first impression to everyone, real smart to do it while you are half awake. I'd wait til the morning then, being in your position and all...

And are you Josh? As in the one who still lives in an apartment with his parents? Your up awfully late.

What personal experience do you as an individual have with exotics? Seen pictures on the net? I'm guessing in your small town there aren't many?

    CHEERS RIGHT?

don't know if it's still on, but not long ago there was this show on MTV where a few guys worked out of a warehouse 'specializing' in locating cars for celebs, to use, buy, rent, etc. and then they would get a finders fee. when this thread first started, i immediately remembered the show. EXCEPT, that was an MTV show-where people will do anything to have cameras in their faces. i don't know what kind of delusions are going on here, but this MDM thing is just heading in the wrong direction. the entire business model takes WAAAAAAAAAAY too many liberties. you can't build credibility this way. i'm sure somewhere in this mess lies some goals, and dreams, but you have to contend with REALITY guys. first impressions are sometimes all you've got, and now the entire F-Chat community knows how MDM operates. Do y'all understand the gravity of all this? There are some pretty respected individuals here, and you've done nothing but come off scandalous. Good luck!

This image needs to be removed from your site:

    http://www.mdmeurotics.com/images/mclarenheader.jpg

I know who owns the copyright to that image and he wouldn't have given you permission to use it in this fashion.

Building your exotic car sales website with images sourced from Google is rather pathetic, don't you think? At least use a press photo put out by the manufacturer if you don't have access to real images that you own the rights to.

Dang! Went to sleep last night thinking this thread had died a painful death and the junior crooks, while still lurking and logging onto FerrariChat, had wisely chosen to misrepresent their "business" elsewhere.

    No such luck!

This thread is growing and growing, it's amazing.

As Townshend said, you cannot just "be' a exotic car broker like this. Unfortunately the exotic car market is way different from what you have experienced with Japanese imports.

Basically, if i was looking for a Skyline, i wouldn't know how to find such a car in Japan. I don't know the websites, i don't know how those auctions work there, i don't understand japanese. I would contact a firm importing those cars, and they would send me a list of vehicles/with options and blabla japanese quality labels. I would choose my car, pay a deposit and wait till it arrives from Japan.

With exotic cars, the story is different. To be a good broker you need to have a direct contact with the owner, be aware of the differences in US/Euro specs, keep low profile and deal with the premium over the price only after finding the vehicle. Inspecting the car by yourself is one of the keys of success. You have either to know what you deal with (cars like 360's etc) or to be able to provide a complete file (history, records, your OWN pictures) about it (in the case of supercars like Enzos etc).
It seems that you looked on some car ad websites, contacted (or not) the sellers selling those cars, added up pictures on your website et voilà. It's a little bit short no? By the way, if you look better you would realise that behind those sellers, there are middlemen, and that the one you contacted is a middlemen himself AND that your 4 different cars you advertized on your websited are leading to one unique vehicle, which is not really for sale...

I would like you to find 2 vehicles for me: a Ferrari F50 from 95, EPA/DOTable with very low mileage for a decent price. It's been a while i'm looking for one of them. An Alpine A110 1600 with factory Gr4 body kit and clear history.
I hope you will find something relevant.

    Cheers,

    Michel

From post 12 on this thread (which I've only just discovered, great fun)

This part seems to have been overlooked......if you're just posting cars that are freely available for sale elsewhere, why would anyone not have the opportunity to purchase them??

First off, this thread is terribly amusing.

To the MDM Eurotics people may I make a suggestion:

Regardless of your opinion on the subjects, simply be humbled and offer an apology and extend an olive branch/go into lurk mode. My guess is 80% of your potential client base is reading this thread (after all, the number of people who can be in the market for a >$1,000,000 car are limited) and you are not impressing them. Continued rebuttals are only digging you a deeper hole.

    Just a thought,
    dsd

Perhaps one can go the Noble route and call it a kit car in some way. When the chassis and body are seperate, you can avoid most of the US rules on impact protection, etc. The Noble could never be made and sold in the US as a complete car.

Pretty sound advice. But I doubt they will take it. They are young and from all appearances, pretty dumb.

One poster in this thread has two f40's so he is exactly the guy you would want to impress. How much you wanna' bet he NEVER has anything good to say about MDM?

MDM, you look like a couple of kids trying to make a living brokering exotics. Nothing wrong with that in itself. However, the way you went about it has put you in this position right now. Your credibility seems to have gone up in smoke rather quickly.

You claim that the picture of the 37 mile Enzo at BGC is sold. For the people that say you are full of it, I must defend you on this, as it is indeed sold. But, you say that the new owner gave you those pix because it is for sale again. I happen to know that owner, and I don't beleive he is selling it. If you really do know the owner, than you should be able to identify him, right? I don't expect you to publicize his name as his privacy is important.

As a way for you to get some credibility, I will give you the initials of 12 people. Simply, pm or e-mail the 37 mile Enzo's owner's initials, and I will post on this thread that you do have some credibility. If you don't answer, or get the wrong initials, then we know you are making it up that the owner gave you the pics to use.

    Here's the initials:
TW, GS, DM, RJ, PR, HB, DA, EL, MC, FR, RC, or LA??

As posted on autoblog: "The address one gives for their company is in fact their mother's condo."

I just wanna say thanks on that one.
