It looks to me like they crossed the current Mustang with the Camaro concept.

Looks good. Better than the 612 one off, and that one wasn't bad either.

That is a nice looking Pony. Nice modern lines to the traditional Mustang angular shape.

That rear end doesn't fit in with the front design of the car. The front is sleek and stretched out, but the back is short and box like. Rarley is a car ever released with an original design now-a-days, they all seem the same.

Not good. Looks like a cartoon of the current version, and aftermarket Lambo doors always look bad

They're called Lambo doors for a reason. Until they start calling them Mustang doors, they should stay off the pony cars and on the bulls.

The new stangs aren't my favorite, the last version was the best looking modern car. There just isn't enough old to make it look like a good retro throw back, and there isn't enough new to make it a modern car. This is an improvement, exterior at least. The interior looks like the designer either loved cows, or skinned a few and used this as his trophy room. Overall, I think it's pretty sweet. Other than on the 69/70 Boss 302's I haven't been a huge fan of orange on a Stang, but it's good on this. Just get rid of that mess of an interior, and put in what could possibly be used on the production version including normal, "Mustang", doors :p. I love that 3/4 view, the louvered window over those hips, they're perfect.

I might accept that argument if every rice rocket at the local car show didn't have them. (-:

I wish the Ford GT had these doors... The roof cut-ins are a good idea and true to the original concept, but without scissor doors they just get in the way.

Yes, scissor doors are equally out of place on rice rockets IMHO.

I also agree with you on the Ford GT doors. I'm glad Ford kept true to the original car, but you do need half of a football field of open space to get in and out of the car.

With those cowhide seats, all it needs to complete the statement is a Texas Longhorn hood ornament. :p

The gear lever has that hole in it so you can slip your wrist through it and shift by wiggling your arm?

Otherwise not bad, save that I have the impression of a designer with some good ideas who just could not bring himself to stop.

The current Mustang was said to be modeled on the 1967, which had beautiful lines, particularly in the Shelby version. Unfortunately what emerged from the modern copy looks like an unbalanced wedge of cheddar cheese. I predict that, just as with the two previous Mustang restylings, the next one for this edition will smooth and soften it, more towards 1967. I'd like that.

To my eye, the current Mustang looks more like my 69 Mach1 than a 67 Fastback.
