Well, I didn't think I wanted anything for Christmas this year, but I'll take one of those please. That house is sic. Come on powerball...
Nice pics!! I really like that setup. Seems very cosy. Can I come over and watch Ferris Buellers Day Off with ya?
Some nice systems here. I have been fooling around with this stuff for quite a while. What is shown is two parallel systems, one for video (and audio support for video) in the equipment racks- mostly ARC tube amps, an old Meridian processor, HD Leeza backbone for DLP projector, with SDI output from cheap, hacked DVD player. The analog system is of somewhat higher fidelity, and is strictly vinyl- Kuzma TT/arm/Steelhead phono-pre/Lamm Ref. Pre/Audiopax 88s, running a pair of Avantgarde Duos. If I had the room, I'd use horns for the theatre system. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here's a close-up shot of the TT/Air bearing arm. THe compressor is located in a separate room, running on a different AC power system. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sure Pap, when you make it to the States, relaxing in there is the perfect retreat after a hard days work of chasing women around...
Sounds great!! Funny thing is though...........I have all the women chasing me around. Can I still relax in there with you?
Then I am a close runner up then. This is my tv. I AM serious unfortunately..... Image Unavailable, Please Login
How many channels........what are you talking about? Just because I own it, does not mean it works. LOL!
NO webby, NO, dont get pap started on posting pics of his commodore 64.. haha! Any chance pap can get posting a pic of his computer, he'll leap at
Norm, Are those the N802 or N803's?. Looks like you are running the Proceed HPA series amp next to the Center Channel. My 1st high end experience was with B&W speakers, a set of 802 Matrix's and I was immediately hooked. We are house shopping for a larger one and I told my fiance that I WILL have a home theater again. Fortunately she is game for getting a really big HDTV but we'll see what she caps me at ($$$)..hee hee Mike
Thats right, its located by the river so yes, a cracking view etc. Only on the 5th floor but top of block so just nice for me as I'm scared of heights!!!!
Compressor drives air bearing tonearm at 65 psi. Power is supplied by 2 independent systems- for the theatre system, 240v step down to 120, with Richard Gray AC conditioners; for the audio-only system, 60 amp dedicated subpanel running to Hubbell 20 amp outlets, all power cords by Shunyata.
Hi Mike, The audio side of the system is N802's for the left and right, an HTM1 center channel (not the new HTM1D, unfortunately), an ASW 855 subwoofer, and 4 Signature 7NT's for the surrounds. A Proceed HPA3 drives the front and two 2 channel Proceed amps drive the surrounds. Video is a Dwin TV3 HD projector, and the screen is a 126" Stewart Studiotec 130. The front end is a Marantz 8400 DVD/SACD/DVD-A, and a Direct TV HD into a Proceed AVP2+6 processor- nothing fancy, but it works for a basement media room. All the best Norm
Holy Crap!! There is NOTHING like a nice set of tubes paired with horns like that. You've got a true audiophile system there!
F-Chat member "Steve" has a pretty sick Home Theater.....since the link is in his sig, here it is: http://theater.stevejenkins.com/gallery/
