I agree with everything you said except for the comment about Kimi's car control being better than Montoya's.

Love him or hate him, there is no driver alive with better car control than JPM, Schumacher included. JPM's only major failing as a driver, as I see it, is his inability to drive around a car's problems, such as last year's Mclaren's understeer. In a car that is set up correctly for him, I think Montoya is the fastest driver on the planet. In a car that understeers too much for him, he is beatable. Kimi is a great driver in his own right but he does not seem to have a feel for the front end as JPM does. I think it is a travesty that Montoya is not in F1.

One other problem with Massa that you fail to mention is his poor judgement and tendency to make unforced mistakes. It seems to me that Massa is very over-rated on this board simply because he drives for Ferrari. He is a mid-pack runner at best and had Schumacher chose to drive alongside Kimi or had Rossi signed for Ferrari, Massa would find himself unemployed in a heartbeat.

I have faith in Massa and i like him much more than Robot Kimi. I hope he proves you guys wrong !

I dont think ill be cheering for Kimi even in a Ferrari. That guy is just so boring. Fast and thats about it.. Like an intel chip.

Forgot about the second stint, good point. Personally, I like both drivers. Kimi has superior skill and talent all around in my opinion and I expect him to beat Massa, but I'm happy with both. Either way, it should be a good season.

That to me reads as a contradiction. For a driver to have the best car control then surely he has to be able to handle the loss of front grip occassionally?

Kimi has amazed the McLaren team with some unbelievable saves ... and the most important part is in doing this he apparently never lifted off the throttle. Thus he is either crazy, or has more faith in his ability than either Senna had ...

I've been asking myself why so many folks on here who even have a clue about F1 overate Massa that much and don't care much about Kimi and I think I figured it out: The die hard Massa fans on here are pretty much the same folks who were die hard MS fans. In their mind (conscious or subconcious) they blame Kimi for MS' retirement. Massa was never a thread to MS' seat (quite the other way round), so he is ok.

Amenasce: I find your comment about the Kimi robot amusing. That's exactly how I saw MS in the last few years. Same Trademarked jump on the podium, same "we're a great team, everything is fine, car was wonderful" speech in the press conference and the same robotic lap performance during the race. Kimi OTOH is all fire and ice to me. The man is an emotional volcano wrapped in ice. Once in a while he explodes. I like that.

Who cares what his (KR)'s) personality is like ... I'm watching his rear tyre sidewalls squirming all over the place as he fires the car in harder than anybody else.

He might be an iceman, but this guy gets off on driving real friggin fast ... not just lapping like 99% of the others.

This is his major problem ... he is too fast for F1 in many ways.

Exactly! If McLaren couldn't build a car for him to drive, maybe Ferrari can. We will see.
