Ronin of course has a few. Here are a couple http://youtube.com/watch?v=irC62B2fuV4 http://youtube.com/watch?v=dQa-RSSRrVM
in transporter 1, the bmw is a 7-series (745) and not an m5; also nice s-classes w140 (s600 v12 he steals). in transporter 2 apart from the a8 (which by the way i think was a 4.2 quattro) there was a kick ass murcielago roadster!
The bullit scene is one of my favorite car chases, no one has mentioned the chase scene from the "Bourne Idenity" with the old style mini cooper through the streets of Paris, thats also a good one.
Favorite Chase : The spirited driving between the two Daytonas in Swiss Conspiracy Favorite laugh: The chase in the original Pink Panther with the Ferrari driven by Niven/Wagner in the Gorilla costume (I think it is a 250 PF Cab).
Major Movie Error!!! In the opening credits of Beverly Hill Cop 2, it actually starts out with Eddie driving a 308 going through the streets and alley ways. Then, when he arrives at the warehouse, its a 328! What's up with that??? Another good movie showing a Mondial is Scent of a Woman!
It doesn't have to involve car chases right? Because mine is from The Thomas Crown Affair (1968), when Mr. Crown pull up to his house after collecting the money at the cemetery. To me, the RR is simply stunning on that particular scene.
How about the Movie "RONIN" with the Audi, Cetroen, and the 450SE Benz, and the BMW's. Good chasing scene
James Bond in The Spy Who loved me......the crazy helicopter/lotus chase scene on the mountainside, and when the white lotus esprit jumps off the dock into the sea, and turns into a submarine!! Also with Roger Moore.
A good car movie. McQueen's attachment to the NART convertible during filming was well known. Less well known was that Haskell Wexler, the director of photography on the picture had a dark blue Lusso.
That's very interesting, Krasnavian. I never knew the photography director had a Lusso at the time. But, I also happen to know that Steve also got himself a Lusso in 1964 as a present from Neile. Knowing this, probably the two Lussos saw each other sometime during filming? Very little to nought chance of possibility I know, but I would certainly like to think so.
I'm told that McQueen commandeered the NART during the shoot and ultimately ordered one for himself. Haskell lived in the Hollywood Hills and probably didn't drive to the shoot in Boston, but you never know. I drove my GTO to a shoot in Phoenix.
"Tommy, for God's sakes, come on. We're late as it is." "All right, Sandy." "Is that one of those red Italian things?" "One of those red Italian things."
I second that. Also, the Deadline opening is great. and in the bond movies it is a DB5 not DB6...different tail FYI. To throw in some others: Smokey and the Bandit, Taxi Driver, American Graffiti, Dirty Mary Crazy Larry, a random one I can't think of..maybe later.
How's about the James Bond "Octo*****" Generally a naff film (typical low 80's Bond fare) except that is for a chase, set in Germany, with Bond in a stolen Alfa Romeo GTV v6 chased by BMW 5 series Police cars. The Alfa makes the most marvellous noise to rival almost any Ferrari's and some lovely oversteer slides. The stunts with the BMW 5's were also spot on... remember the fanastic about flip with the one of the police cars... started nose to nose with one running in reverse, flipped one round and now there're nose to tail. Very neat. Scrap the rest of Octo***** and extend that scene and we'd be getting somewhere!
I am dumbfounded that the software is censoring the tiltle of a mainstream movie. I suppose I should say thank you, as reading the title fully spelled out could have done us all irreparable harm.
Not half as puzzled as I was, when I discovered I was being obscene! Never mind, I'm sure that people can still work out which film the title was...
I remember that scene in Octo*****-Bond steals the car while the owner is making a phone call-car was a silver GTV6. That was a beautiful car.....
Opening scene: Closeup shot of SC and that crazy SC sound. Then the shot with the Villiage people chasing him. Then he's running out of fuel, turns off SC, they catch up, one gets in front, turns on SC and WHAM and then................................................... Oh man, I got to get home and watch that movie again. Classic Mel.
Awesome! No-one can possibly argue....!!! And the opening scene with the Miura driving on an Alpine road. And the training the Mini drivers scenes. And the "you're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off" scene. And collecting the Aston from storage scene. And the E-type and Aston bulldozer scene. And the final coach and gold scene...... Get my drift??
