    Excuse me if this is a repost, but my power door lock on the passenger side does'nt remotely work anymore everytime I lock the Driver side. It use to work fine all the time then intermitenly and now not at all. any help would be appreciated.

    Drivers side operates passengers side. The #1 failure is a failure of the internal timer realy in the drivers side that sticks in the on position and burns out the motor in the passenger side lock motor assy. Replacement of both units is required to correct.

    Saab used to use the same poorly built motors and on those you got to replace all 4. Lucky you, you only need 2.

    Remove the right side motor and look at the side of it for melting or distortion in the plastic. That is caused by the motor melt down.

    Thanks Brian, so do I need to replace both or just the right side? and is it good idea to install a relay to prevent future motor burn out?

    Take a look and diagnose before just throwing parts at it. I just told you what to look for.

    miketuason- while you're in there checking the door locks, you may want to consider a keyless remote system, I think they are available for about $100 or so at JC Whitney etc. It's a very popular mod here.
