I do prefer the 348 of course, but not sure that set-up would look that good on mine as it does on the 355. For some reason, finding the right wheels on the 348 is a big challenge for many including myself.
Here's some more shots. No way are those 20s. 19s at most. I think that 355 has been lowered as well. Brakes look incredible. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks for the pics! They do look sensational!! Does anyone know what they cost. 19's or 20's? Do 20's bolt straight on 348/355 without any mods? Does anyone know?
Only available in 19's: 9" in front, 11" in rear. Cost is slightly North of 8000.00 depending on the vendor and current the Euro / dollar conversion.
This may be a stupid question, but will those breaks stay so shiny with use, or are they just like that because they are new? Looks like he has one of those Nurburgring stickers on the rear side window - I wonder if that is why he took the decision to go for the brake upgrade?
I second that! They don't look THAT great IMO. That is almost the cost of headers, hyperflows and a capristo!!
I think I may be the only one here on this thread that does not really care for that look at all... I am not a big fan of huge, exposed brakes... I prefer the stock look! Why mess with perfection? gordon
I love that look. No super car uses 18" wheels these days, so the wheel size and tire profile are a bit outdated on our cars. Our cars seems to have big wheel well openings, and small wheels. Our cars, while super cars, are a compromise. The average guy probably couldn't deal with low ground clearance, a stiff ride, super low profile tires, etc. I think the 355 has some of the best lines of ANY car ever made, and the correct wheel/tire/ride height combo only enhance it. That is the look I try to get with all my cars: http://www.cardomain.com/id/dgoodman David
You could get the look of that car with alot of wheels at a reasonable price. What makes it look so good is that the car has been either lowered or the wheels bring the tire close to the fender reducing the gap. Also the wheels are brought out to the edge of the fender not like stock. Spacers and a lowering kit could do this same look with alot of wheels. That thing looks sweet though but gotta agree the brakes are too bling.
The rims on the 355 are Hamann as people already said. 9x19" and 11x19" and the brakes 380x28 mm with 4 piston calipers both front and rear. If you would like even better braking force MOVIT offer 370x32 mm 6 piston calipers both front and rear
Here's the Mov It package (also note teh aftermarket front bumper) on a 348: Image Unavailable, Please Login
This pic looks legit. I would live to see the car with 22" and the chrome "22" " sign on the fender Image Unavailable, Please Login
They look cool. I was thinking of some of those for my car, but then have since changed my mind. But still look nice.
