I just moved to Ohio and I did'nt see anything all summer but as soon as fall as fall comes around all the exotics come out! I've seen: A black Bentley GT A silver Lamborghini Gallardo A black Aston Martin DB9 A silver Maserati Quattrocoup (probbably spelled wrong) A black Lamborghini Murchialago My friend from school's dad has a red SRT-10 coup And I saw some type of yellow Ferrari driving with that silver Gallardo. It kind of looked like a F355 or a a 432. All I know is that it was a spyder model.
nothing really in my "neighborhood" theres an F40 about 15 minutes away and a couple vipers but nothing other than that. And ive only seen the F40 once in the last 8 years so i dont know if the guy sold it or if its a garage queen but i just about crapped my pants when i saw the F40! O but with in the city i live in(twin cities St paul MN) there are 4 Carrera GT's 2 enzos a bunch of lambos 4 miuras a bunch of 3*8 and quite a few more.
Boy, you guys are in some ritzy neighborhoods! Between my subdivision and the adjacent one I have to drive through to get in and out, there is exactly ONE "exotic" - mine!! I think the closest thing otherwise is a couple of standard BMW sedans and a previous-generation Mustang.
It's kind of fortunate in a way that I'm the only one who's got an exotic car in my city of Hanford population 80,000 unless you call a Lotus Elise an exotic car but anyway it's kinda cool cause everytime I take it out for a spin it's like Paris Hilton walking down the street with a thong, everybody looks. It's feels strange and yet it feels awesom.
Within a 10 minute walking distance, I guess Ferrari F430 spyder Ferrari 360 Modena 2 Bentley Flying Spurs Lotus Elise
In Nashville: 430 Spider 430 Coupe Several 328s Several 308s TRs Several 355s Lamborghini Gallardo Lamborghini Murcielago SLR 2 Lotus Elise's Assortment of Vipers, NSX's, etc. The Gallardo and SLR I have only heard of, and I have also heard of a CGT spotting in Brentwood. I live outside of Nashville in Mount Juliet, and I wouldn't know which direction to start walking to find a Ferrari. I did see a silver Lotus Esprit driving home the other day, though.
Living in South FL (Boca Raton/Ft Lauderdale area), it's nice to see the number of owners (and broker/specialty dealerships friends) sporting exotics. I have lived here since 1992 and doing some napkin inventory of cars owned by friends: (2) Enzo (one formerly Saddam Hussein's) (1) Dino (1) F50 (2) F40 (0) 599's (yet) (1) F430 (2) 360CS (2) 360 Spider (2) Lambo Murcies (1) Lambo Gallardo (1) Lambo 6.0 Roadster (1) DB9 (1) Flying Spur (yes, I consider this an exotic by sedan standards, what a car!) Quite a few 997 Turbos (but no Carrerra GT's), tricked out XJR's and a BMW M5 That about does it....I think I need to find something else to do with my time.....like join a Scuderia club so I can show off too!
Conservatively....100+ exotics...Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Bentley, Rolls. add 50+ hot-rods, antiques and classics If you add in Porsche...add another 150 If you add in M-B and BMW's...add another 1,000 MB in the OC
I live out here in Hooterville with Oliver and Lisa next to Miller Motorsports Park. On major race weekends virturally any exotic car ever made is in our neighborhood. I'm sure I don't have the property taxes that many of you have to see such a display but, I do have to put up with yelping coyotes, pesky grazing antelopes and occasional mustard gas leaks.
There's several guys with exotics in my town, but I never see them. I only hear about them. Most of the folks around here believe that if your vehicle is not a pick up, then you are subversive and should be watched very closely. Often at traffic lights the pickups will out number the cars 4 to 1. Sometimes when I'm driving my 308 around town the cops all follow me. They just keep turning off and a moment later another one turns in and follows me for a block or two and then he turns off and another one falls in behind me, adnausium. The up side of this is that I feel very protected, although if some one were to try to car jack me, the cops would just leave. The cops all fall off as soon as I leave town and then I can have some fun with the car. Bob Wassam
My neighborhood consists of 7 houses in Woodinville, WA: 1 - 430 Spider (mine) 1 - Aston Martin Vanquish V12 1 - F360 Spider 1 - Carrera GT 1 - SL55 AMG 3 - M5's and then the assortment of G500's, H1's, etc. (not really exotics but its a 7 house neighborhood so I need to count as much as possible)
None. At all. One or two street rod geezers. I live in a pretty poor town. I went to La Jolla High so I've seen my share of exotic-strewn neighborhoods.
That I know off. Aston Martin DB5 (I think) - A resto project a neighbour has been doing, or maybe finished, not seen it for a few months. Chrysler 300C - They are in the UK Silver 355 spider Black 430 Red 360
Same here, mine are the most exotic. There is a Ford Mustang GT350 I've seen in one driveway. Haven't seen it driving around or up close to tell if its a real one. Huh, I went to Ocean Beach Elementary long time ago.....
I live in a really small village in Belgium, so there is me, 328 GTS, about a mile from here lives a friend with a maranello and a 512 TR, plus dozens of 911, not a real exotic to my taste!
If anyone here is from Toronto, Ontario, they must be familiar with the towns of Woodbridge/Kleinburg. There lies the greatest concentration of Ferrari's and Maserati's in the country, if not the continent. This status might not remain, but was well known for many years. I would not even bother making a list of F cars or exotics because we have them all here. Our Ferrari dealership is so succesful that the owner himself has his own collection of cars, including MC12, Enzo, and even an FXX. Canada in general is an important place for Ferrari owners, for such a small country, there are 2 out of 29 FXX's here. I know California has the highest number of Ferrari's in the world, but our town has the highest ratio of population/F owners. There is actually one subdivision and street around my area with about 25/30 houses, and each household contains at least 1 Ferrari. Truly a great place for spotting cars. There are 10 houses on my court, and 3 have Ferrari's, Porsche GT3, SL55, Jags, etc....
Starboy, I would like to know where you get those numbers? - I am pretty sure both, Monaco, Germany and Switzerland has the highest number of Ferrari's pr capita. They don't have the most, but they have the highest number pr. capita.
Of course they do in Monaco, Switzerland etc....my "numbers" were refering to Canada or US only. Please read more carefully next time.
Yes you are right, but I don't believe they have the highest per/capita in N.A. It is common in my area to see 10 or more Ferrari's on a sunny Saturday afternoon at the local Starbucks, and there are only 20,000 people in my town. Does anyone have any official numbers?
