Jeff, That color combination suits this car. Like a gentleman in a Black Tuxedo, would come close, but a Woman in a stunning Black Dress, may be more accurate! Ciao...Paolo
Am I confused or is this the same car? http://www.catsexotics.com/inventory-detail.php?key=353 Cheers.
Same car. I can't seem to sell my SL65 so figured whichever one sells first is gone. I like the SL way more than I thought I would so I will be fine with however it ends up. One obviously is way over sticker so I could live with losing it if I have to.
Oh! Okay. I guess I understand that. I don't really understand ordering a Bentley with custom colors, waiting for it to arrive from overseas, then putting it up for sale. I am not in your position so I cannot presume to question that decision. It is a beatiful car in any case! Cheers, Steve
Im still confused lol. SO ... the GTC is now for sale along with the SL65 and which ever sells first is the one to go?
I agree, something I would not do.. BTW, I'm not in the know with Bentleys, is there a premium on the GTC or is Roy's asking price around what you paid?
what roy is asking is a premium, because in another thread jeff stated his msrp was $205,000. also, jeff you are smart but cant you enjoy the bentley just for a little? the bentley will go very soon. and you have a pm, i have a buyer for your sl65.
I only have one problem with the GTC. How come Volkswagen, Pontiac, Mazda, can make a hard top convertible for less then 30k, but Bentley which costs maybe 7 times as much has a cloth top?
love it, hopefully I will see you driving around, you dont have a coupe to do you? We got into a little drag race with one once, once they stepped on it though, we were toast enjoy it
Weight maybe?? I mean the GT is about 5500 pds. Talk about needing to go on a diet!! Im sure weight in regards to adding a hard top conv wasnt the main issue, only other solution is they ran over their design budget lol. jk
I asked them that as well when the Bentley guys were here for the launch and they said a hardtop would hurt the lines of the car and kill their Cont. GT sales. I would think they could just make one model with a hardtop convert but I guess the line thing couldn't get worked out. For a ragtop the top is several layers and on the inside of the car with the top up you cannot tell its a convert. After driving it a few times it really is a special car but like I said the SL65 turned out to be way better than I thought it would.
These probably both influenced Bentleys choice of not offering a hard top version. I like the GTC regardless though.
