This is terrible news ....even worse at this time of year.

Thoughts and prayers to friends and family.

The highest respect, to a champion who looked life in the eye, never giving up.

Tiger Racing needs to know, her Challenge car was designed with Clay for her special needs. I'll send her a PM.

    Great pics, Jim and others..........

    *moment of silence*

He started what Zanardi has continued. True grit.

What a shame. First saw him race at Watkins Glen in the '75 USGP. He was driving a very WIDE car to help Niki Lauda take the win for Ferrari. Would be nice if Ferrari could find a way to honor his memory.

Oh yes, I really hope F is gonna do more for the remembrance of their former ace than when poor Alboreto passed away.

Sad and shocking news. Although I never had contact with him, he seemed to be a gentleman and a true sportsman. May he rest in peace and may his family be comforted.

    Farewell, Regga.....

I was visiting Knittelfelt in 1972...and there was Clay bathing with us ordinary people...in a big pool in the middle of the town.

    What a great man.

RIP and condolences to his family and friends. This brings back memories of the good old days when Formula 1 was at Long Beach. Before Sequential Gearboxes, Carbon Fiber, in cockpit digital computers. The days when your driving talent really shined.

Actually, didn't he hit a Brabham that had been abandoned on the track?

Nonetheless, this is very sad news. May he rest in peace.
