    Hello Gentlemen,

    And a Merry Christmas.

This morning I attempted to remove the front valance on my 79 308GTB.

I’ve waited a long time for this because I was working my way up to the front end of the car.

I’d received tutelage prior and followed it to the “T”.

I’m at an impasse; it appears that the lower front-end valance and the upper portion of the car are painted as one (somewhat fused together by paint), so I’m deathly afraid to break a paint bond. It also appears that the black tape (surrounding midsection of the car) might hide a break in paint?

    Anyone have a similar experience?

    Thanks for the advice guys!

    Chris.

euro valance. about $700 for a nice one. i bought one for my GTB... need to fit it one of these days.

    Christopher.

make sure the pop rivets along the bottom side of the valance are free. "paint" should not be holding your valance on. i bet you missed one. it helps to pull it straight forward and wiggle it free. you wont hurt it if you rough-house with it to get it off.
