    got mostly giftcards...
but i did get an amazing print of a Dav3 Kurz drawing.
he draws vintage race cars on 2000 grit sand paper with colored pencils.
i would post a pic but my digicam is already packed for cali tonight!
the print is of a 1957 Ferrari 335s front view with no bonnet.
    looks gorgeous!

My best present besides curling up in front of the fire with the better half and some champagne: I got to drive my 308GT4 for an hour today. In Toronto on Christmas day that is just not normal. There should be snow and salt on the roads!

This year was easy for my family. Anything having to do with Ferrari or guns works for me.

    Ferrari sweatshirt
    Ferrari coffee mug
    Ferrarichat coffee mug
Spotting scope (for spotting Ferrari and bullet hits)

And the really big gift was the approval to get that big red car in the garage.

    Gerrit,

We had that here in Colorado last year! It was awesome to drive - Tshirt weather

This year we had two and a half feet of snow in 18 hours and shut down the airport just before Christmas. The next day, sunshine by noon. Heck, I couldn't even get out of the subdivision for a day. had a guy just leave his car in front of my house. He brought a 4 wheel drive in and got it stuck too. Finally, some guy with a 60's Kaiser with chains pulled him out. That thing was a beast! I have a snowblower which came in handy for the first time in several years. We got clobbered.

Santa treated me pretty nice this year. I bought a new pickup truck and got a new compurter with MSN Flight Sim X. The pickup is a F150, and the computer was made by Fujitsu and has a 17 inch screen.

I'm gonna run it with gas....not sure about the gasless thing. I got a regulator for it and I just have to figure out where to get a small bottle of argon. It came with some rosin-core wire so maybe I'll try it gasless for fun. I know very little about welding though, so I'll need lessons from Verell.

I also have to wire up a 220 V outlet for it in the garage, but it's not that big a deal because I ran a 220 circuit out there for the lift.

    I'll report back!

Flux-core makes for messy welds (splatter). Use MIG (gas) mode for easier, cleaner welds. Read the directions because polarity is different between gas and gasless.

Community colleges have non-credit, community classes that are very cheap. I'd recommend checking them out for welding and other classes.
