Clarkson at my local track, Willow Springs. Very cool! Looks like they were running the track backwards and frontwards.
Clarkson has to be one of the most entertaining TV personalites in the history of car TV. It is an absolute shame that we americans lost that TV show and have to see the short clips available on the net. How can shows like OCC make it here and Top Gear not? Thanks for the post, makes me want to go out in the 30 degree weather and drive my car, do you know where I can find that whole episode?
I agree, Clarkson is very entertaining to watch. And actually the American versions of Top Gear were edited (most of the anti-American comments were taken out). You can download them via bittorrent and can find an episode listing at http://www.finalgear.com.
OMG, hahahhaha. That guy is great. In the full video, he is driving the Roush mustang and says "the damping is 35% stiffer, and to be perfectly honest...so am I." LOL.
I just finished it, what a great film. One thing I noticed though, you can talk about how ugly your sister is, but it pisses you off if someone else does. It is interesting how Euro's see us Americans, as true as it may be, a little offensive. That said, my sports cars will always make their intial voyage over a large body of water from now on.
CS still one of the greats...wicked sound! that said, i guess i'm one of those that can't stand JC, as well as the other Top Gear blokes...too much yapping, try too hard to be witty, jerry bruckheimer overfiltered cinematography, pointless soundtracks...fifth gear little better. just shut up and let us see/hear the car, i'll take Auto Motor und Sport anyday...
I definitely agree with the "your sister is ugly" statement. Plus, If you pay close attention JC is at night on the Las Vegas strip in front of the escort magazine machines asking the drunken lower class members of the US those geographical questions. The equivalent of going to some northern backwoods English village and asking them to name the states of the US.
I just watched the clip at home with full sound. Thats not even close to an Euro sound !! Great sound but not nearly as beautiful as the Euro Strad sound.
