    I'm working on acquiring a race car and am wondering if there is anything special to know about how race cars are insured? I undertand that the cars aren't insured on track, but what are the questions and issues to consider related to off-course and storage insurance? Are there specialty brokers or carriers that anyone can recommend? Are there any metrics to know in terms of cost/$10K of value?

    Laurel DE is who I have used for several years. Very easy to do business with. Seem reasonable without being too cheap. I would be concerned if the cost was really cheap. would make me wonder how they pay claims(or not). fortunately havent had a claim yet. has anyone on this site made a claim? Jon in Delaware
