    Black is cool but:
    Corvette is not an exotic
Murcie sub 250K is one you don't want

I think the AM V8 is tight at $100K right now, but it's a hot car anywhere near there.

    (a) is an invalid entry. Please remove any hanging, pregnant and dimpled chads and vote for an exotic. (And yes this is the hardest price bracket...)

Would an Elise qualify as an "exotic" at that price point? I might want to change my selection, if so...

I've seen "driven" examples show up for that from time to time, and I'd rather have a car someone has enjoyed than one that's sat under glass with 16 miles on it for decades.

    a- 308gts as a homage to magnum.

b- F355B 6Speed - the issues are overplayed and the way it looks and sounds defines the ferrari experience

c- Unsure about this one - maybe a 550 because thats what you'd get in this price range but short of getting the 360 CS below I'd sit on the 355

d- Challenge Stradale. in Red with black - what a way to spend your weekends and the only reason to buy a 360

e- 288GTO - there is no better shape than this. The enzo and the F40 great but you'd struggle to use them.

B-Maserati Quattraporte (Available at steve harris imports in bordeaux)
C-Ferrari 575m maranello blue pozzi/cuio (I believe san francisco's dealer has this but its a bit out of this range)
D-lambo murci (flash-orange with orange interior probably from catsexotics)
E-I can't go with one here. An F430 spider red with cuio and fully optioned. And I'll get back to you on the others, still have $600,000+ to play with :)

    (a) $50,000 - A white 348 or a red 308.
    (b) $100,000 - A red Testarossa in perfect condition without one flaw since it is 20K over market at 100K.
    (c) $150,000 -
    (d) $250,000 -
    (e) $1M -

You know, I don't really know of any $150,000+ car I want. Most of the cars I love are all around 50-100K. Instead of c, d, and e, I think I would take a Viper, a ZR1, and a older 60's vette to round out my collection. The only Ferrari's that I know about are the 3x8 series or the Testarossa. The other ones just don't really have me interested because I have not been in them or researched them or driven them. The newer Ferrari's lack the distinctive appearance of 70's, 80's and even early 90's Ferrari.

I'll tell you all if one day I woke up with a million dollar gift to buy cars, I would first spend $35,000K building a 10 car garage with work area, then I would spend the rest of the money filling it with vettes, 308/348's, Testarrossa, and Vipers. And I would be the happiest car guy on the planet.

Ahem, I drive a Corvette right now and I love it. :)

It might not be exotic, but I've driven an Elise and a Boxter and I'd still take the Vette any day. I also don't have much interest in buying any older Ferrari's, you can blame that on m youth. :)

Yes. Lotus is about as small and niche as any car company I can think of.

    You kids...

Actually there are Lambos and Maseratis available sub $50K as well. Uraccos, Meraks, Boras, Ghibli coupes. A whole universe of leaky cars awaits -- all exotics, and you'll never park next to another one except for the rare visit to the shop. But I'd say the 308 is the real stunner of the group.

    (a) $50,000 - If they counted, I'd go with an E39 M5 or well maintained 993 911 any day. But since that's not in the parameters, I'd find the best 328 I could, preferably in black.

    (b) $100,000 - F355 Spider, no doubt. Red (or TDF blue...) with tan leather. Make mine a 6-speed, please.

    (c) $150,000 - The new V8 Vantage is too tough to turn down, though a 456M GT in a nice color combo would be enticing.

    (d) $250,000 - Superamerica. Same specs as the F355 Spider mentioned above.

    (e) $1M - Can't swing a 275 NART Spyder for that. Open topped F50 then. Red with black seats this time.

    A) 50K - 3X8 and name your poison - I'll take Bullfighters car. But the Maseratis are reliable and in the running. 996TTs may be close and you should consider them ( I know I'm cheating - no Pcars).

    B) 100K - 512 - Flat 12 Love. I could see the Maserati quatroporte but I really don't want a 4 door exotic. Interesting how a few are looking to pop for an AM V8 at that price point - me included (maybe).

    C) 150K - Aston Martin Vanquish - Yep they're down there now, and I was surprised it wasn't mentioned. A more muscular Vantage with of course a V12 - what's not to love? (I know the tranny - have it retroed to a proper manual from the factory)

And who doesn't want to own a car named "Vanquish"?

    D) 250K - no idea - I tend to think of things I can actually, maybe have a shot at. At this point I'm a multi car guy and looking at airplanes.

    E) Wait - I won the lottery! - ENZO - The best car from THE car company and it's named after THE man.

Great question, had to do some thinking

    (a) $50,000-"perfect" carb 308

    (b) $100,000-Dino 246, maybe 512 BB

    (c) $150,000-Diablo 6.0

    (d) $250,000-F430, Challenge Stradale if the list is too long

    (e) $1M-something classic, 275 GTB/4 or 365 GTB/4 Spyder plus extra $$$ for the "showcase" garage and the mechanic

    (a) $50,000: Does Corvette count? Its more of a car than what most of the people have picked, so Im going to say yes.

    (c) $150,000: Gallardo

    (d) $250,000: Murciealago

    (e) $1M: Enzo if I could find one for a Mil.
