Very very very nice! When do I move in ? Love the black beams with the yellow paint. Excellent. The checker tiles is a little much for my taste but hey if we'd all like the same thing we'd all be married to my wife LOL Great job!
BTW if i'd be me I'd get rid of the wood desk and get a new work desk from Sears. They have some steel garage collection. Maybe $ 200 for a pro looking bench/desk. But hey, that's just me.
Thanks Martin. At one point I thought about mixing some color tiles in with the B & W but decided in the end to stay the course. I actually use the Gladiator equipment for all my tool and car care storage. It's on the other side of the main wall which is why you don't see it. This is an old architects drafting table that works perfectly . . . just the right height. Plus my wife loves coming out to sit while I do whatever and sip her wine. By the way that's something I forgot to mention in the initial thread . . . my wife loves the project and when it's finally complete she's throwing a cocktail party! How about that?
not Ferris, its Terris... look at his profile... thats his name. Awesome work - you really kill me with the flat/satin horizontal stripes on the side wall. King of subtlety eh?
Wow awesome garage!! And thanks for naming me as direction/inspiration! Your painted wall puts my plain ol' garage to shame!
Scott you're welcome. I really wouldn't exactly call your magnificent garage plain! It's to die for. Plenty of of room and wonderfully outfitted. I especially like the lift. I have a second garage on my property which is the next project and would be a perfect space for a lift.
Greg G you've got a fine eye. Thanks for the comment on the yellow stripes. My artist / painter Sharon came up with that. In person it really looks great.
Great garage!! I have used the same tiles in my garage too. I changed to four of the same color eg. four white& four black together so it didn't look so busy in my garage. This worked great for me. The tiles are great, being perforated the dirt from the tires etc. just falls through instead of on the surface on a solid type tile. They're easy to remove when greater cleaning is wanted. I normally just vacuum from the top through the holes just fine. My kids love the stuff as they use the garage daily. They can go out there in the winter without shoes and still be warm enough. Its comfortable barefoot too. You can see my thread in Northwest under "Garage is finished!" Great wall!! Philip
Not a bad idea Martin although for you southern guys I'd have to make sure it was during the warm weather months. I wouldn't want you getting your bootie frozen!
Philip I was wondering if those were Kiwi's. Nice effect when you combine them. And you're right about the comfort level. Makes a huge difference. By the way I like the red piping on your 308!
Hi, I am about to do something (but not similar) with my garage. Can anyone help me with the correct colour codes for the red, green and yellow ? Thanks, Anders
Noticed the slide projector on the ladder - good idea. I did similar thing by scanning shield, printing a transparency, then using overhead projector.
I would also be very interested in the color codes for the red, yellow, and green. I have made several trips to the paint store attempting to match the colors and I am not having much luck. Thanks.
Several of you were interested in the paint codes used on this project. The brand Benjamin Moore and the colors were as follows: Red ~ 2001-10 "Ruby Red" Eggshell Aquavelvet Yellow ~ 329 "Golden Orchards" Eggshell Enamel Yellow ~ 329 "Golden Orchards" Semi Gloss Enamel Green ~ 574 "Once Upon A Time" Eggshell Enamel Black ~ 2132-10 "Black" Eggshell Enamel Also a basic Clear Gloss was applied. Good Luck!
Is it only me but i can not see the pictures anymore and i would like to have some inspiration before taking delivery of my F430 Bart
It's not you Bart, there's been a site crash around the time those pics were posted, and they were lost Maybe you can send the thread starter a PM? BTW: would like to see the pics also, i love garage pics Guy
Sorry about this. I just saw your post. Guy was correct. Just after I started this thread the site had a massive crash and many photos were lost. Here you go.
