Because I'm too lazy to make multiple posts, I thought that I'd just put this here.

    From the 1/04/2007 Riverside auction:

    1995 F355 Coupe Black 28K miles - $58,500

    1999 F355 Coupe Yellow 24k miles - $73,750

    1990 TR Black 25k miles - $57,500

    2001 360 Coupe 23k miles - $115,000

    Also --

    2002 Maser Spyder Yellow 8k miles - $39,500

    2002 Maser Spyder Gray 12k miles - $34,700

    2004 Maser Coupe Black 19k miles - $42,500

    2006 Maser QPort Silver 3k miles - $89,500

    2006 Maser QPort Silver 17k miles - $81,500

    2005 Lotus Elise Green 7k miles - $34,250

    2004 Lambo G Silver 11K miles - $120,000

    2004 Phaeton V8 Burgundy 77k miles - $23,000

    2006 Phaeton V8 Gold 14k miles - $45,000

    2004 Phaeton W12 Black 54k miles - $31,000

    2002 Porsche Turbo (6) Ave 35k miles - Ave $57,000

    2003 Porsche Turbo (8) Ave 32k miles - Aver $64,000

One last word: Even though Mannheim is a dealer auction, it has been my experience that the auction prices for exotic cars are retail. There is a lot of proxy buying going on.

Glad I don't need to get out of a Maserati!

That Black 355 must have been rough! (or maybe I should get one!)
What is the range FML gives for 355 coupes?

    That seems like decent money.

Like I said, I'd consider these to be retail prices.

I don't know the condition on the 95 355 Coupe, but getting close to $60k for a car with almost 30k on it doesn't sound too far out of line. Maybe it needed a service, who knows?

    Interesting post, thanks.

Spike makes a good point - a gray 02 Mas spyder for 34.7!!!! That could be a really nice car.

It can always be worse. What was the sticker on a 2004 Phaeton?

Per cars.com, $64,600 for the V-8 and $94,600 for the W-12. Slight depreciation there, eh?

    Yikes!

What about the 2004 Lambo G car? I don't follow these cars (because I don't fit), but weren't they $180 or there abouts new?

Tru dat. But you do get real retail numbers from Manheim, unlike the junk you get from other sources.

I never really considered Maserati's, but for that price. If you think about it, it's really a Ferrari anyway--400hp V8, F1 paddles. I just might have to convince the wife on a second car...

I agree. I owned a 2004 Spyder that I brought and sold for $65K. However, I'd love to buy the car back at, say, $45k. They really are fun cars. Maserati/FNA just screwed up by setting the initial MSRP too high.

What about the 90 TR for $58k? Is this the market for these cars?

The black 355 is a spyder that has had damage and poor body work done to one side. Not even worth what is sold for in my opinion.

I'm sure this has been posted already on F-chat but it's not on this thread so here you go. From Jan 1 Autoweek, Keith Martin in his "Market" column referring to a 1977 Boxer which sold at auction for $68K:

"These cars were once $250,000, but have fallen out of favor and are unlikely ever to see those high prices again."
