Verrell has them. He used mine for the model :)
I now use a little rubber cement or silicone for a little added insurance.

I bought a set a few years ago from www.italiancarparts.com.

They were a little pricey, but were exact replacements. Depending on your mirror style, the part number is either FR91600 (Flat mirror style) or FR91602 (Cup mirror style).

Here's a link to the page:

    http://www.italiancarparts.com/parts/308.html#mirrors

Otherwise, perhaps the dealer parts dept. can source them for you.

    Hi,
Yes, both styles are available. Am at my 8-6 job, but I'm pretty sure I have a pair of each in stock. If not, can make them next weekend.

doug328 posted the correct eMAIL, or you could just click on my username & select [send eMAIL to Verell]

    T. Rutlands also provides them although they are going to stop using their supplier because of the high cost (bought a pair a few months ago). They may still have a few left.

My 328 has tiny prancing horse badges on the mirror caps, the left side badge is quite badly damaged. Does Verrel's caps have the little badge ? How much are Verrel's caps (with or without the badge) ?

The caps are $35 + shipping.

The tops of both the front & rear caps are plain.

If someone were to send me a cap with something else on top that they'd like reproduced, I'd consider making an exact duplicate of the supplied cap, but it might take a few weeks to schedule the work.

I wrote to T. Rutlands a few years ago about the extortionary price of the ones they had on eBay, and never heard a thing back.

The material that goes into these isn't worth sixty-nine CENTS!

As soon as I get my hands on some for a reasonable price, I'm going to cast reproductions for everyone who needs them. (I know, not original, but who's going to notice?)

    Bradley,
    Go ahead, have fun.

It isn't the material that drives the cost, it's the labor.

The mold makes 1 at a time, It takes about 20 minuites labor to mix, pour, demold & deflash one, about 20% are scrap due to one or 2 small bubbles somewhere, so average labor is closer to 25min. Also, it took about 6 or 7 hours to make the mold that has to be amortized.

Why would they respond to your rant. This is as close to a free market as you will find, so if you don't like the prices, shop elsewhere, or as you plan, make your own parts! ;)

Hey, amigo, after I read your reply I realized that my post could have been taken as attacking YOU. Didn't mean it that way.

In fact, I admire what you're doing, and your $35 (?) is about HALF what Rutlands wanted on eBay.

For what it's worth, I still think that Rutland's price is outrageous, and so is the original Ferrari part - when you can even find it.

I'm still going to try to make some of these myself.
