I think we all know that people that can afford an Enzo will more than likely be very passionate about their cars, especially this toy. We all know that a lot of the time, no expense is spared on these type of cars, regardless of mileage. It really could have been anything.

Maybe none of us will with the attitude thats coming across. Michael unfortunately has probably realised that he shouldnt have posted until he actually received the car, something that happens far too often in this joint. A real shame though as if it is genuine and i have no doubts about it, he was only sharing his enthusiasm at entering such a deal. Might i add though that the funds have not been transferred as yet, please bear this in mind. Michael has in my opinion been completely honest about the whole thing.

Correct, let him get on with it. No slapping about, anyway, entering into a deal worth £400k - £500k+ is a serious commitment. He has shared his enthusiasm at the prospect of doing this. Whether it happens or does not is really none of our business, we should treat Michael as a genuine person here. For all we know, he may have seen these posts, thought **** them and leaves, a month down the line we see the Enzo driving about the UK with his initials on the reg plate, how would that make you guys feel. Too often we lose some genuine users on this site. At one point, we lost Erik from LV, a true enthusiast and from what i have read, a great all round guy. He came back months later and everybody was back on the praise. It sucks sometimes. i just wish some of you would chill out and realise your detective badge is actually made out of plastic and aint worth a ****.

    Just my 2 pennies worth.

That camera has a shutter that captures light from the top down. As the wheels are spinning, it catches the top part of a spoke and pins it in place, but as it turns, it keeps capturing each small portion so that it looks stretched, curved out to the side that the spoke is turning. Same for the bottom spokes only the opposite effect. The centers of the wheels aren't turning as fast as the outer rim, so that magnifies the curving effect.

First off, thanks again for the nice comments.

Second, there were NO factory RHD Enzo's,
third, it is perfectly legal to import cars from other countries,
fourth@ Napolis, for a guy with so many Ferrari's, you seem to forget about ANUAL servicing,
fifth, I think you will find a huge difference in insuring a Enzo to a CS, mainly the 450k price difference,
sixth, I did not get rid of the F40 because of the power, true I hit the grass in the rain once, but got rid of it because it wasnt for me, I was being lightly humorous in my profile.
Seventh, I will not post any VIN's because that is, for me, you, people I dont know, knowing too much.

This is the sad thing about forums, you post, enthusiast to enthusiast, and get slated for it, I've had enough from my girlfriend, dont need it from you keyboard warriors. I find it quite a shame, for evry 1 person to say well done, there is 1 to call me a bull****ter.

Lastly, to all you going to Silverstone and Monaco this year for the GP, I will see you there, in my Enzo, as a Ferrari GB VIP guest, come and say hello, im sure you will recognise the only youth there with an Enzo.

Wouldnt worry about it, your money, your car! Almost every forum I have been on you get a similar case unfortunately.

I'll try and see you (and / or the car) at Monaco F1 GP, Im going this year, but not by car. Be a good chance to take a few good photos. :)

    Michael,

I am glad to see that you are one who pays attention to the proper upkeep for cars. Most say that they only put 500 miles on the Ferrari so there is no need to change the oil for 5 years.

I change the oil in all cars every year. I also change brake fluid, PS and drive-train fluids among other things.

Fluid changes are cheap and for me fun to do.

Good luck with the new wheels.

I'm intrigued by your invention (non-intercooler charge air cooling for forced induction systems). Can you describe it further or do you have a patent number that I can read up on it?

You mean there's no patent? Patents are public info.

Patent number is avalible, ill look for it for you, but the system is still being developed now beyond what I did, the patent will not tell you the application in which it is used, and who it is being used by, I dont know! And I dont know what current patents are on/pending on it, as I do not get too much info my self, I play no part in development of this system. I sold it to a vehicle manafacturer, who then sold it on, my revenue is genereted by the manafacturer, not who they sold it to.

I would expect the defense application would be classified. Not a problem. I'm (and I suspect other engineers on here are) interested in the technology which is public info if patented.

^That is perfectly OK, ill dig out a petent number, you can have the one for the main valve body (you will know what im talking about when you see it) than through your own research, looking up all associated patent numbers, you can see the components that are used. Im sure I can do that, but I cant directly tell you how it works, and more importantly what it is suceptible to.

I checked today. We have NO classified systems on the engines or transmissions of any vehicle. In fact there is nothing on there you cant buy at PepBoys!

    Neither do the Brits.

A patent would be granted before a defense dept would ever use something. And a classified item would not be patented for the reason as that that would nuke the very reason to classify it.

Furthermore, the trials for new mechanical parts take about 3 to 5 years at best and even then would not be deployed for about another 2.

Sorry Michael, you need to prove what you say is true. And I am calling…..

And what exactly did I say, IT IS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT, I have no idea what application it is being used on, or infact what military, so call bull**** all you like, it really does not effect me in any way. At the end of the day, in life, you will wncounter morons, people who spurt words whilst not really knowing what they are taliking about, I sir, think you are one of many on this site. I firmly belive, whilst I have my wealth, I also have my health, which for me is 100 times more important, so proving myself to you is at the very bottom of my worry pile.

    Michael,
I'm not doubting you by saying this, but he wasn't the one who started a thread stating he's bought an enzo. He also didn't say he won't post the Vin, then not be specific about a patent he created. I hate to say I think this was brought upon yourself?

I know a certain someone who bought a formula solution patent for $100 in College, then took that and created one of the best-selling car cleaning solution companies (not Meguiars). And hate to say, he said the guy he bought it off knows very well what he did with the patent and still follows up with the new products. I'd imagine you'd still want to follow where your patent is being used..

I just dont understand why poeple wish to know so much? The reason why I have not followed my 'invemtion' is not through choice. At the end of the day, I have an income that is based on me keeping within the regulations of a contract that quite simply wont expire. Belive me, there is nothing particularly special about the system, me or any car I own/owned, the hands in which the system is held, is a military defence one, where things are kept seceret, after selling it to the car manafacturer, I was informed of a royalty I would recive as I am still and always will be, credited for the design. Now, back on topic please.

If it is “in development” as you say they would have at best 10 items. When we “developed” our last round of body armor, we made 15 and that was a lot.

So if you get a royalty from the “sale” of an item “in development” you would at BEST be paid for maybe 10 and that would come to about $5000 even if it were a full transmission.

And generally we make the contractor pay for the items and a don’t front any money in what is called a “proof of concept application test.” As the owner of the patent, you should at least know that.

That said, the only countries in the world right now that would even need something like that, let alone have the hard currency to pay for it, would be the US or the UK as they are about the only ones involving massive amounts of troops in the kind of environment you are claiming “your” system would be needed in. And sitting at my desk right now about 2000 yards from the secound largest military vehicle testing center in the world, I would say…

Yes, your full of **** and I totally challenge you to prove me wrong. (The launching into the “I have my health” crap (Instead of the “amazing description of the technical workings of the item so take that DrS!” ) pretty much gives you away.)

Until then I have to play this on you, too…
