They are factory 490HP. 510HP...20HP more? Bone stock? All depends on Dyno, air temp on the day, what fuel used ect...... Dynos all read differently and they all calculate the flywheel HP. Real HP figures are at the rear wheels.
Thanks ND. Cool thread. But car is not 'bone stock'. BMC filters and Hyper Flow cats got him 510HP. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=136325596&postcount=10
I had to make the strutt brace,no one make one it would be hard with the standard air box,the throttle bodies are 65mm,i am suffering with no cold air, its very noticeable when it cold in the morning. Ernie A 430 can out drag me on the stright but i can easily out brake them and no probs at all on the corners,i havent used gas on track for a couple of years as its to tempting,i can have a lot of fun with the 360s and CS boys without it.On the road its good when the modded Jap stuff come looking for you, there never as friendly after theve been trashed. Some people in the owners club dont get the modding of a Ferrari,i try not to let it bother me as im lapping them for the 2nd time that session.
Andy, PZ says his 355tbs are 45mm each and you say you are running 65mm each. Obviously you can flow more air but air velocity falls with TB increase in size. Do you think air flow velocity is a problem and how did you size your throttle bodies?
Andy, Remember this modification to a 348 decklid? I think you should fab up something like this so your TBS can be seen. They look so awesome I am sure you could fab up a clear filtered airbox that leaves the TB's trumpets clearly visible
You guys are way to technical for me,i dont understand most of what your talking about. I was in a mod shop and a customer said to me you should put throttle bodies on it will go faster and sound great,i asked the owner what throttle bodies were,he showed me and i thought they look cool. I asked around and was recomended Jenvey bodies,i asked them which ecu i shoul use, they said Omex,i bought it all spoke to paul Hill about getting manifolds made and the shop and i stripped it all down and fitted it back in. We had problems with throttle cable it only gave us 75% throttle so we introduced a gear to throw it open. It went to omex to be tuned and 2 days later picked it up and shat myself when i first drove it.Had a few issues with the linkage but ive redesighned that this winter so should all be good, when you start talking fuel maps and the like i havent got a clue,i can design and make the practical stuff. i sit and read some of this stuff scratching my head. Thats why i havent posted much on plugzits thread sorry.
