    Jon,
I want to restore a metal grill to its original anodized / black finish. Do you have any suggestions for a local (So. Cal.) shop that does that type of work? Andrew

Verne's in Gardena on El Segundo Blvd near Crenshaw does great metal plating, etc but I'm not 100% sure they do anodizing. Several concours oriented shops around the world rely on them

Jon. Lucky guy!! It's great to learn some of the history of your car by acquiring the proper documents!

    Shawn. Very nice jesture indeed!!!

That's what we've been talking about, guys heling each other out when they can. It's what being part of a community, even a weird, car-centric internet one, is about.

i have an Alm lift..it's 12feet 2inches to the very top of the vertical posts..these have 2 posts with 2 extending arms that swing of a pivot on each side allowing you to lift any car..and open doors without hitting post...with car loaded and at full lift its almost 6feet under lifted car!!!these lifts require 220 volts and compressed air....when i bought mine 3-4years ago,,it was brought to my garage and installed in about 4 hours for somewhere around $2500....these are incredible lifts and a must to working in your garage...and pulling another car below when fully extended.....

jon...and all...kudos...as a new member with 70 euro gt#1060,i was concerned that my extended experience with 356 and early 911 porsches(most owners are original owners with extensive hands on experience and documentation for all sorts of originality and restorations issues, details and sources) would require a different mindset....your efforts and support from the dino and chat group has been incredible....i am sure you have inspired ,energized and promoted the passion for continued restoration and preservation of thse beloved cars....look forward to continued interaction with this great group.....

No work for a few days as I'm leaving in the morning for Barrett-Jackson. Not really my type of cars, but it should be interesting. Plan to stop at GT Parts as I've never seen his place and pick up a few more parts then hoping to get to Bob Wallace's shop to talk to him about my Miura. I had to pull off all the carbs and am currently rebuilding them not because I wanted to work on the Miura yet, but because while I was driving it the carbs caught on FIRE!! I got it out before really any damage. That's what you get for driving a car that has set for such a long period. I really pictured in my mind the car burning to the ground. I hope fires don't come in threes. The chrome shop, the Miura and the??????????????????????

Miuras are nototious for self-ignition, especially on start up. Extra caution is necessary at all times and maybe an automatic extinguisher based on the forbidden Halon stuff...

There are >1000 M Coupe pictures here: www.rfdm.com/gallery

Certainly more than you'd ever want to see...

Since 99.9% of the cars I work on are shipped to me, I put an album online so that the owners can track the work on their car. I tell them when they see the coatings going on, it's time to make arrangements for the return trip. Customer photo albums are generally a three (3) initial title.

Besides the differential mount/trunkfloor reinforcement work, I also do forced induction installations, suspension upgrades and some routine maintenance work.

Our former neighbors never could grasp the rarity of the M Coupe; they'd see several a day!

I just happened to notice that Nunzio won a bid on a pouch with the warranty card 07010. Isn't that the serial number of the Dino wspeer got for a present recently?
