We are completing the wire transfer in the morning, but I just couldn't wait to join the "Brotherhood". This is my second Ferrari, Sold my '85 308 QV a year and a half ago. The wife and I are taking a week long trip to California to pick it up and drive her through Napa and down the coast to LA before putting her on a trailer to go home. Needless to say we are very excited to once again be a part of a very passionate club.

If any of you fellow 348, or any Ferrari owners are in the Northern/Central/ or Southern parts of CA we would love to meet up with you on our way home if our schedules permit.

    See you around..

    Jeremy

Dude congrats. The brotherhood is strong in the south bay area of Los Angeles, so if u make your way down here, give a shout. U can hoist a beer and shade tree mechanic with the stooges over plugzits 355 tbs swap. Goth will take the wife on a cruise in his 355 spider - she may not go home with you after that.

    348's rule!

The brotherhood is strong! Have you noticed that 348s are getting harder to come by for sale, and selling for more? Yes, my brothers, greatness is recognized!

I am somewhat hesitant to say, but I'd bet that the car's resurgence is partly due to us here talking up the car. Too many have ridden the 348 down in favor of the 355s - looks askew at gothspeed and mike sheehan (ok I know he races one) - but thanks in no small part to the Brotherhood, the truth about the car is coming out. When u can get one of these dream machines for $20K less than a 355, spend a little money on it and get nearly the performance, that is something. Soon, we will have the HP answer to match those finicky girl's cars (355s, I mean). Of course, I sigh when I remember San Diego Steve's turboed monster 348 putting out 700Hp on pump gas and running with the Bulls like a star.

In short, get yours now before they start rising in price. The Challenge cars are there, the SS's are on the way. Spiders look like they are holding their prices.

Sorry Vince dont agree with that. Sure you need deep pockets with the 355s when things start s@#$.....BUT they are sweet to drive and sorry man they sound better then most all Ferraris with TUBI&&&PIPES.....The scream we all no is just unreal!!!!!!!They get around the track well to.....They go were you point them.....I have owed both at the LIMIT I felt more control with 355...I tracked and drove like a nut for years in both.......They are in my opinion very different beasts.....BEN

Congrats!! Take advantage of those great photo ops during your trip. I've only had mine for a month and it gets better every time that I drive it.

Well, although you DID have to sell a 308, which I'm particularly fond of, congrats anyway :)

If the weather was a bit kinder I'd be tempted for another road trip - it's about 1,000 miles each way from here to San Francisco. this weather is turning into Cabin Fever - it's like the 50th day of snow in a row now :(

Congrats on the car - couldn't believe someone hadn't picked it up earlier, a smokin' deal. Please drive her, and give us some better pics when you pick her up.

    Thank you everyone,

I did sell the 308. Didn't have to, but I had just completed the 60k major and it was the right time to sell. Besides, I couldn't see keeping her in the garage and not giving her enought attention. Ferraris are still like women correct? Or have I been out of the game for too long? :)

I bought my wife a new Nikon D80 camera for Christmas, so we will have many high res photos of our journey. Can't wait to get to Cali!!!!

I think that this is a great post. I was on the 348/355 "fence" when I started looking. The support and knowledge-base of the Brotherhood definitely made up a large part of my decision making process.

Me too - I was vacillating between the 328 and 348. The enthusiasm of the brotherhood plus the wilder looks and engine note pushed me over to the 348 side. :)
