    Yo! Pimp my Mondial!

What's really scary is the "Theiler" decal --- while a very nice guy and very knowledgeable (guy was one of the original Engineers at Ferrari in the 70's and helped develop the BB512M's, LM's, etc.) about F-cars (I've talked with him several times over the years), poor Mr. Theiler was run out of buisiness several years ago because he was doing alot of custom mods to 308's in the LA area --- and while some of his products were very good, others were too marginal / fragile for extended street use and became 'time bombs'. After, many customers filed lawsuits when their cars went 'blammo', Theiler's shop went bye bye.

I haven't seen a 308 / Mondial with Theiler stuff still installed on it for years, but if this thing still has any of those mods on it, run away --- run fast!!

I think it looks like a well kept car. The LSD might have the cost of two drilled holes on each side, but are easy to be reversed to normal doors. But by the way, the doors fit the Mondial somehow. Maybe some of the design heritage in the 308GT4 which was Bertone design initially for Lambo that makes it a fit.

I just dont get people modifying Ferrari's like this. To use that word the guys used back in WW2, this car is FUBAR.

Lets put a countach wing on it too. You can buy these door kits to fit a lot of cars. I saw one on a Mustang last summer.

When you buy that door kit do you get a bunch of gold chains to wear too?
And I dont know...with doors like that it really needs a big a$$ wing on the back with a bunch of scoops and things.

No I too think it's preety cool, once the doors are shut who's gonna know it has lambo doors. Don't let the lambo door change your feeling about the car, geez it's only the door no big deal you can always change it back.

Red Paint+ black wrap around bumpers/facias+plus OTT Chrome aftermarket wheels, reminds me of a once beautiful older woman wearing boots a mini skirt and too much cheap make up. The Lambo doors equal some bad plastic surgery. Let the car age gracefully.

I think those are just Mondial doors with a Lambo style hinge kit. Saw an Eclipse with that kind of a kit on a local dealer's lot awhile back.

    Hmm,
Given how much space I need in parking lots and just how wide you have to swing those long 308 doors to get them open wide enough to get out, maybe those hinges aren't such a bad idea. Swing the door up instead of out...

However, I must admit that I looked (albeit breifly) at those doors for my GT4 as well.

    "Why?", you ask.

Because I think it would make it a LOT easier to get in/out of the car. I know getting in/out of my friend Jerry's Mondial would be much easier with those doors too.

But still... I just can't bring myself to actually do it.

PS: I think also that being a Bertone body works better than the Mondial. Still though.....

One thing the ad states that I completely agree with,"...will always draw a crowd".

That is the world's ONLY 82 Mondial that will draw one - even at a Ferrari gathering.

Is it a Boxer paint scheme or not? I'm so confused. Or maybe the owner is? ;)
