I had to have my doggie put to sleep today.................this sucks...
i'm so sorry, i went through the same thing about 6 years ago, that was the first time i ever lost someone/something close to me, i still miss him
for many of us...they are true members of our families. they bring and give so much love and it is hard to see them go. i'm sorry for your loss luis. peter
Luis, I'm very sorry for your loss. My Newfoundland is 5 years old now and I know that one day I'll be in your situation. The thought alone kills me, I can't imagine what the reality of the situation will bring. Best wishes to you.
Out of curiousity what sort of dog did you have? Mine is also named Max. He is a part border-collie, part fox terrier. There's a reason dogs are a mans best friend, sorry to hear man .
Very sorry to hear about your loss. I went through it 2 years ago. An animal can make life so rewarding and is such an important part of daily life. RIP Max.
Thank you guys for all the wishes. He was a Staffordshire terrier or a pitbull as they are known. They have bad reps, but mine was the silliest, friendlist, little pup ever. He lived for getting attention. I'll post a pic soon. My apartment is so empty without him. Thanks again
Im sorry to hear about the loss i just went through this 2 weeks ago. I didn't think it was going to be as hard as it was. She was part of the family and even my dad (not much of a dog person) was in tears. my condolences nick
A pic of the pup. Looked mean but really wasn't. The doc that put him to sleep was in tears. I couldn't stay in the room, Im simply not strong enough. Thank God my friend was with me and he stayed with him the whole time. I miss you boy. Daddy loves you...... Image Unavailable, Please Login
My Basset Hound "Moose" is 9 years old....I dread the day if I ever have to do that to him. Look at it this way, you had fun with 'em, and this guy beat the stereotype people seem to attach with those breeds. Sorry for your loss. I love Bull breeds, but the Bassets have me tied down right now. Best thing I did when I lost a dog(11 year old boxer) was getting another puppy as close to the same "paint" scheme and name it a Jr. I swear, I have more photos of my dog than anything else in my home, lol.
Very sorry to hear. My own dog, Max, is getting up there in years. I dread the day he goes. Condolences to you. Keep your chin up. RMX
I stayed in the room with Pooter (Poodle/Terrier mix) until the end. I always pictured myself as being strong but I found out that day that some things just get too close to us to remain withdrawn from it. Pooter was my buddy and my wifes best friend (really)
Thank you guys, hearing everyone else's expericences has really helped me to cope a bit better. And Audiguy, I always thought I was a lot stronger than that too but when it started to sink in and I was there with him I didn't have it in me to stay. That being said when i left the room i wanted to go back, i just didn't..................
